In a perfect world I would hunt puddlers until the lake freezes and then hunt divers. The only problem is I am a one trick pony and don't know where to get them. I have spent to much time deer hunting out of state in the late season. This year may be different since I did not draw any out of state tags.

Puddlers by far. Nothing like watching a flock of mallards circle and circle locked up into your deeks. Much more challenging as well.... Them divers will swing your deeks as you drop 4 of them and then come back and swing your deeks again... Or they swing your deeks, you drop 4, they swing they next group, they drop 4, and down the line they go till the flock turns into a single

Hard to beat a large flocks of divers rolling in at 60mph on a Northwest wind. I can hear those wings whistling. Puddlers take too much time trying to make up their mind.
