zamboni
Most leagues- Chris Johnson. Homers- AP
james_walleye
I havent looked at alot but what i've seen has AP projected ahead of Johnson so im not sure how you think only a homer takes AP.....
LMITOUT
Zamboni has the answer to the question. I haven't seen AP as #1 ANYWHERE. And I'm not being an anti-homer.
james_walleye
Ok....well the 2 magazines i picked up on my way up north a week ago had AP......
srfishin15
It'll be chris johnson in most leagues. People are worried about all of AP's fumbles, which alot of people saw in the NFC championship game.
james_walleye
I just looked at 11 different websites rankings and 7 had AP, 4 had Johnson. 1 also had Johnson as the #3 RB behind Jones-Drew.
LMITOUT
I wouldn't use 7 of those websites for relevant info then.CBS, ESPN, Yahoo, and various others top FFL sites that I use, to name a few, have CJ as #1. Some of these FFL sites calculate an Average Draft Position by looking at mock drafts and the rankings of other sources, so it's a cumulation of many things which help provide an overall picture, not just one rube sports writer's opinion. We'll find out at the end of the year I guess. james_walleye
Well of course you wouldnt, hes a viking. I dont see Johnson repeating last year. AP has done it for how many years now? Safest play. He took me to a championship last year, i'd ride with him again.
CJH
CJ took me to a Championship last year. Both are great and an argument can be made for either one.If you bet on CJ having another great year, then you take him. If you don't, then you take AP. Jim Uran
I'm a homer so I'd pick AP hands down. I just don't see CJ having another year like that, but if he does hats off to him.Top QB for me is Aaron Rodgers... and I hate the cheese. mrklean
i dont see CJ going for 2000 this year but i see him hittin at least 1500, with vince young as QB and still kinda scary they will be a running team first
SkunkedAgain
That was Chris Johnson getting those numbers, with his team losing the first six (correct?) games and his coach not giving him the ball as much. I think that he will have a plus 1,500 yard season.Peterson will be in limbo with the Favre decision making. I think that his numbers will be better without Favre since he'll have to shoulder the team's offense. Toby Gerhardt might also be a threat to take away some of AP's touchdowns near the goal line.Ahhhh, fantasy football. Just think of it folks, you won't go a week for the rest of 2010 without having the opportunity to watch a football game. Life is glorious! mnwild
If Favre comes back AP, if Favre doesnt come back I would say Chris Johnson.T-Junk leading the offense they will have 8 in the box stopping AP.
Fish Head
I have to agree that most of the big trusted sites have CJ as #1. He'll have another great year.I think AP may very well improve over last year. I hear that so far Toby hasn't been impressive in camp. AP may be on the field more on 3rd down. Hutch is finally healthy and should open some holes on that left side.I happy to have football back!
LMITOUT
Johnson is #1 until someone knocks him off. Simple as that.
Duffman
I'm a huge homer and I have the number one pick, I'm taking CJ. My cheesehead cubemate is even wavering on whether he'll take AP with the second pick. PPR league.
james_walleye
Johnson is #1 until someone knocks him off. Simple as that. Well by that logic Peyton Manning should be the 5th QB off the board in most FFL drafts.....
LMITOUT
I guess I don't follow what you're implying, but very little changed with the Titans or the Vikings in the off season that should affect either RB's performance positively or negatively. Not enough that would cause them to make a noticeable jump up or down, anyway, and that is easily seen in the rankings going into this fall as others seem to agree. So with all things being equal, Johnson was #1 at the end of last season and stays #1 at the beginning of this season. That's all I was trying to say.He could come out of the gate and just stink up the joint for a couple of weeks. Nobody is saying that it couldn't happen, but with what is known and what he did last year you have to assume he'll maintain a reasonable pace with last year's performance. Same goes for fumble-fingers. If they both stay on their pace of last year it really won't matter who you take as #1 or #2, but if you're in a PPR league and score negative for fumbles, I'd be leaning much more towards the #1 RB of 2009. zamboni
EVERY years FF drafts reflect from the previous year, and Chris Johnson was far and away the best RB in the NFL last year, and he DOESN'T cough the ball up as much as #28. The Titans have been a running team for what- 4 years now? That hasn't changed. Like I said in my initial post, homers with the #1 pick in their draft will take #28, but I will be willing to bet, if both are healthy all season CJ will have better stats (again)
zamboni
If Favre comes back AP, if Favre doesnt come back I would say Chris Johnson.T-Junk leading the offense they will have 8 in the box stopping AP. I would rather have AP if TJack was our QB. With Favre we are a pass first, run second team.
Born2Fish
I picked second in our league and picked AP. #1 was CJ.
jigging-matt
Almost every site I have seen, and magazine article I have read has CJ number one. I am fortunate that I got CJ in our Auction 3 years ago as a rookie and we are allowed to keep them for 3 years and just add $10 to the cost every year. I would love ot have AP, but if I had to choose would choose CJ.
FISHINGURU
I'd take AP forsure, CJ has been lucky with injury and I have a feeling that will be coming to an end this season.
PurpleFloyd
I am going out on a limb and taking Ryan Mathews as the #1 back. I will either look like a genius or I will have to say I was really drunk when I made that decision.
