What would do this?

Ok, since darn near every predator has been listed how about another question - why would a critter do this and leave the carcass behind? That's where all the good stuff is and it wasn't touched at all.

Allright I'm not so sure on house cat anymore I would also like to know what is doing this. I have geese, ducks, turkeys and chickens I'm raising and for the last week every morning when I leave for work thier is one or two dead chickens or turkeys only missing thier heads everything else is left behind. I made some passes through the barn and I'm possitive there are no stray cats around they don't last long in my yard I have not been locking them up in the barn at night and they hang out in the horse pasture but will start locking the up tonight. I'm leaning towards a weasel since it has not taken a goose or duck wich are twice the size.

We had an owl in the barn that would do that to the ducks and chickens. We found that out after we found the owl dead with a chicken in its claws, not sure what happened to it, but looked like it either choked or broke its neck on the cable in the barn.
