Dark Cloud
Had all this on the grill and figured i'd take a picture to share here. A couple of NY Strip steaks, asparagus with a little olive oil and salt n pepper, eggplant with some oil and garlic salt, some asparagus wrapped in proscuitto, and bacon wrapped scallops finished with some sweet n sour sauce... Also made a cream gorgonzola dipping sauce for the steak. A tad less than a 1/4 stick of butter, 2 splashes of milk, and a small handfull of gorgonzola cheese. Put it all in a small pan and cook on med low while stirring till the cheese melts...

Deitz Dittrich
I have done eggplant on the grill, its quite good.. its also good in the oven if you slice it real thin and put shake n bake on it.
Dark Cloud
Mark - Eggplant has a rather mild flavor, not as strong as squash or zuchinni(not that I consider them strong). The texture is kind of hard to describe - almost sponge like, not mushy but soft?

Chef
Eggplant can be really good or really bad, depending on who cooks it.

goblueM
oh man... looks great! i busted out the grill tonight for the 2nd time this spring. venison backstraps marinated in olive oil, balsamic, and fresh thyme, grilled over hot coals. then carmelized onions and a bleu cheese spread on the meat, with some baby red potatoes and mustard green beans. topped off with a Goose Island IPA, delicious
BobT
That chicken should have been a little more careful about where it was dancin'!

BLACKJACK
Well, kids; what's for dinner this weekend? I'm planning on a smoking a turkey on Sunday, and might get together on Sat night with some guys, and try some stuff out on the grill and smoker. Anyone else? Sat. did up rib eye steaks and potato wedges on the grill, the wife wasn't home so sat outside and ate hot off the grill. Sunday grilled a whole chicken and potatoes in foil, listened to the Twins, beautiful day to be sitting out under the shade tree with a cold one in hand, had to slow it down so I could listen to the end of the game!!
