Shimano Stradic CI4

Does anyone knows if any stores around the metro have the Shimano Stradic CI4 in stock?

I checked Cabela, Joes, and Gander (woodbury) so far and all out of stock.

If not, may just order it online, but I prefer seeing it in person before I purchase. Thanks

Cabelas has a 1000 on display that you could take a look at. Then you could just order it at the store and have it in a few days. You won't be disapointed with that reel. Might even have a free shipping deal to your house, check on line. I would call and make sure they did not sell the display.

I wouldn't be too concerned about holding this reel before pulling the trigger... My partner snatched one up last fall and let me break it in for him and I have to say it is the nicest spinning reel I have ever used!

i am not aware of any 2500 size in MN.. but very sweet reel... I expect the shipment to him MN soon.

Cabela's gets 2 or 3 at a time and they last a day or so but I don't think ordering them would be a problem.

I know guys have been selling them online for more than retail. They are hard to find.

I have 2: a 1000 and a 2500.

Best spinning reel I ever had.Period.

I spooled one with ultra premium Japanese Mono (Toray Bawo) and another one with even more ultra premium braid Varivas. Just awesome.

After I score my Shimano Core Mg50, I'm getting a third Stradic CI4.

Just awesome.

I have seen the 2500 at Joe's but it might have sold. I have seen this real at a few others as well. IMO the stradic 2500 mg is a better buy and better built reel. You can pick these up at GM for 125 as well.

The frame on this reel is a really strange carbon.. Shimano has been using it for a few years already in the bike division of the company. They have been making Derailers out of it. I have not had a chance to test it, but have faith in what I have been told that this stuff is tougher than the alum frames.

The new Ci's are awesome but tough to get right now. I placed an order a while ago with some other high end Shimano products like cores, cumaras and sustains. But the Ci is the only one that will take a few weeks to get. At our store we have been told late May shipment. I'm sure the big stores will have some. If you guys need anything send me an email. I am sure I can get you a good deal.

I was able to get my hands on one late last fall, so I haven't had it on the water, but the thing is absolutely awesome. Very light, comfortable and 34 IPT on the 2500 model. Like others said, if you find one just pull the trigger, no need to see it in person first.

I know Cabela's has 5 or 6 2500's at the moment also got some Pfluger arbors as well.

Got the mine at Joe's last week. Great light reel and can't wait to try it out. Got mine pair with a cumura rod. Only question is mine didn't come with the extra spool. I thought that it should but the guys at Joe's told me the CI4 doesn't......

Joes was right, the CI4 does not come with a spare spool. Kinda disappointing in a $200 reel but its still a great reel for that price.

Just saying... seems like they always come with one and I never use it. I would rather spend the extra money towards a better reel than an extra spool...

Yeah, I agree. I only keep them in my spare reel box just because. I do have a couple spooled up with braid in case things get hairy.
