Snoozer the Fox and Barney the barred owl.

This fox I nicknamed Snoozer because its always laying on its favorite hill taking a nap before it gets dark.

This is my first barred owl shot on digital, I have a few from the old 35mm days. I think their dark eyes give them a much softer, friendlier expression then the piecing yellow eyes of a great gray.

And my only redpoll shot from this year.

I have stuck my nose/lens into many more saguaro cacti than is probably prudent and haven't seen a one - I hope to get out this afternoon, it's been raining for about the last 12 hrs and has finally stopped, the trails are gonna be muddy, but we leave tomorrow morning I do have some other bird shots I'll try to post later.
