fishinchicks
I wish!! We went in 2006 - the first NASCAR race I ever attended. We are headed for Washington DC Feb 28, so we are tapped out of travel funds. It did cross our minds, though.
gregg52
i've been to vegas and phoenix and liked phoenix better cuz you close to the action not really a bad seat theredid you like going to that big of track ??
fishinchicks
I've been to Phoenix as well. Really liked the track there. We sat in two different spots - turn 1 for Nationwide, and turn 4 for Cup.Daytona was good for the whoopla that surrounds it, and for the history there. We were pretty far up in turn 2, which was the place to be that year. Weather was in the 80's for the (what is now called the) Nationwide race, but in the 60's the following day. By the end of the Cup race, it was drizzling pretty heavily.
harvey lee
For me, the short tracks like Bristol are great.
fishinchicks
We had tickets to Martinsville for last March, but my mother in law passed away that week, so we didn't get to go. We considered ordering the same tickets for this year, but decided to go to Washington DC instead. Some day we will get there!
&JAG
Since talking tracks... I would like to go see the 500 at Daytona someday for sure. We've been to the Brickyard, Milwaukee Mile, California, Texas and Kansas. Indy is a great historical type of thing and the hype is a buzz around town (great atmosphere) watching a race ok. The Mile well that was a good track to watch a race but, they are off the circut now. Fontana, CA was 115 degrees in 06' the racing was decent and the area is beautiful. TMS flat out is the bomb! Watching those cars come flying off the corners is wild. Kansas was great too! The tailgating is super and the racing is excellent! We were there when Edwards dove into turn 4 last lap full blast trying to get JJ... Awesome to see right in front of you
Sifty
I know it is not the greatest track but I would like to make it to Milwaukee for a race.Sifty

LMITOUT
NASCAR made it official today and announced that in March at Charlotte they will be testing a spoiler in lieu of the wing. However, they aren't revealing when they will switch to the spoiler until they get some tests under their belt.
fishinchicks
We went to the Iowa Speedway last summer for their inaugural Nationwide race. The track is good, but the parking was a nightmare. Hopefully they took notes on that for next time.

tunrevir
I think Sarah is starting A NEW HSOforum "GO Hockeymomma.com" Maybe that is why she is going to daytona and not a snow machine race I don't know who would be a favorite in this years race. I think the childress cars will be a good bet but you never know with the supercrashways who will be in front at the end. I'll just sit back and watch the sparks fly and hope my drivers of choice make it till the end of the day in one piece. Tunrevir~
LMITOUT
A little strange to see how they're racing today. They're actually kind of spread out and not 2x2x2. Interesting....
frogtosser
B O R I N G!!!!! you would think they could figure out how to fix a track.

Double D
Great finish. You better have a pair of brass ones to make a move like Harvick on that restart.DD
walleyes12
That was good stuff, nothing ever beats the finish of Daytona, it always gets me off my seat!!
lawdog
If the track debacle wouldn't have ruined the day, that would have been one great show. The racing was good, but I had things to do and had to watch the end on the DVR as I couldn't sit around all day watching epoxy dry!
Bryce
Wasn't glued to the set so maybe I missed it but I didn't hear a single comment by DW about his brother. He must have been given a gag order because he wouldn't shut up about it during the duels. Now if we can just get them to make him stop talking completely. He really adds nothing to the race coverage IMO. 3 attempts at wreckers or checkers is relly going to make things interesting.
