I frequently speak of my boat as "our boat" when my wife is nearby. I guess I shouldn't be shocked when one morning she wakes me up to the sound of a motor being trimmed up.

My soon to be wife is the same way, although she is just learning to drive my little Ranger! I have to worry about waking up to my son pulling it out of the garage with out me!

You may wish to consider taking I39 South from Rockford IL depending on the time of the day. Take I39 down to Peoria to I74 to Indy to I70. Taking this route you totally avoid the terrible Chicago area traffic which can really be a pain. This is the route I normally take when I am headed southeast since I have experienced the pain of driving through the Chicago area.
