Coach1310
Am I the only one who sees a "Favre Implosion" in the near future?? I hope I am DEAD WRONG... but I just can't wrap my mind around the idea that Favre has gotten rid of all of his demons and us kind of relying on him, instead of just letting him "manage the game" has me worried he will have a classic 3 INT game in a big spot. I just hope he gets it out of his system before the playoffs.... Anyone else fearing this?
Steve Foss
What "demons" does Brett Favre have? You got me wondering there, coach.
zamboni
People that are worried about it now are the same people that were worried about it in August when he signed his contract, and it hasn't happened, nor do I think it will. He is surrounded by more talent now than he ever has in his career and it is making him a much better player. He tried to force things his last few years in GB, and last year in NY, he doesn't need to do that here.
Coach1310
What "demons" does Brett Favre have? You got me wondering there, coach. The "demons" of his gunslinger attitude. I really HOPE I am wrong, but I just have this vision of him, getting picked early in a game.... us not playing well.... him thinking he has to throw us on his shoulders and then he starts forcing it.... etc etc.... I guess I looked at him as a "game manager" when we signed him and a guy that could make the right reads on 3rd down.... but he has played so well and they are going so good right now, I can't help but think a BIG HICCUP is in order... like I said I HOPE I AM WRONG!No matter what happens, I'm not sure any of us have seen a QB play this well over an 11 game stretch, ever... james_walleye
They didnt sign him to be a game manager. He was brought in to put the ball downfield and make teams pay for 8 men in the box and thats what hes doing. If the vikings wanted someone who could only dump the ball off and be a game manager they could have stuck with junkson.
zepman
He's human...and it just may happen. That's life. I'm not worried at all if it happens or not but I think the Vikes have a diverse enough offense to "settle him down" if it does. I'm just enjoying watching it as it all unfolds...including tonights game. Go Pats!!!

FISHINGURU
sounds like you listen to the announcers to much
traveler
Will he be as spot on every game as he has been? Probably not, he's human after all. Adrian didn't do us any favors yesterday, but It turned out pretty well:) We've got a solid team, if we keep playing good team ball, good things will continue to happen. I'd worry more about a fluke injury, if i was prone to worry...

Okay... maybe I should have put "Good game manager", but I do agree they wanted him to throw it down the field, but you can't tell me they expected this.... no one expected what we have seen thus far.As far as "listen to the announcers too much"..... no that isn't the case. I'm just a football fan who isn't slugging the purple kool aid just yet and as much as I don't like relying on the stats.... it is kinda hard to argue his interception numbers.... like I have said NUMEROUS times in this thread... I HOPE I AM DEAD WRONG.... I just keep envisioning a meltdown in a big spot. I guess we'll see...

If it happens, it happens... it doesn't, it doesn't... I'm not a throw the remote, purple pride screamer!! and I'm pretty sure Favre doesn't care what I think... croixflats
I'll own up to those anxiety issues. But one can not blame me for not drinking that kool aid or the green Scrogg to self medicate, I would rather live in reality. . I am hopefull the line can keep protecting him, I am hopefull the defence can hold the opponents score down. But the fact is he has only been tested a few times this year and one of those test the Vikes lost.
