zamboni
What a mess. Who would you guys go with??? So, I have to go with either 2 RBs and 3 WRs, or vice versa. I think Fitzgerald, Jackson, Jones and Thomas are givens this week. Should I go with Moats? My team:RB's:Thomas JonesPierre ThomasRyan MoatsSteve SlatonWR's:Larry FitzgeraldDeSean JacksonVisanthe ShiancoePercy HarvinMike Wallace
nofishfisherman
Tough call. Moats has been more effective his last 2 starts but who knows if that will continue. I'd probably lean Moats myself.
LMITOUT
I also have the Slaton/Moats mess and I'm starting neither....not until I see that one of them is the go-to guy every week.I'd go with Harvin. Is it a PPR league? If so, I'd have to go back to the Slaton/Moats decision, flip a coin, and pick Slaton.
james_walleye
One of them will go off, the texan/titan game is going to be a trackmeet.
PierBridge
I hope Slatons out of the doghouse now. With Turner hurt and a 3 game lead in my league I'm giving him the nod over Mendanhall even though Pits at Washington.
zamboni
I'd go with Harvin. I love Percy, BUT I would love him more if he was an every down receiver. The fact he maybe gets 3 looks a game drives me nuts.
LMITOUT
Yep, that and his kick-off return duties.I guess I'd have to lean Slaton and hope he's over the dropsies.Kubiak benching Slaton in the Buffalo game cost me a victory that week. Benching one of the top fantasy RB's over the four previous weeks leading up to that game is unbelievable, but since they were playing the Bills it made for an easy decision for Kubiak and he got his point across without risking a loss. I'm still calling for Kubiak's head!!!
zamboni
Yeah I tied that week, then lost tiebreaker. Had he stayed in, I wouldn't have tied obviously. I have tied 3 times this season, losing 2 of those. One of the other ties I lost was the week Kurt Warner was benched 2 and a half quarters into the game because they were blowing out the other team. Had he played the entire game, I would have won. He has been benched twice now, the other time they had to put him back in because Leinert started blowing the game to the Bears. Hopefully he quits taking Warner out.
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted November 20, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted November 20, 2009 I would make the Slaton call as well. If he can hang onto the rock he is definitely the more talented back.
ozzie
I hope Slatons out of the doghouse now. With Turner hurt and a 3 game lead in my league I'm giving him the nod over Mendanhall even though Pits at Washington. Pitt is at KC this week....washington is at Dallas.....I would start Mendanhall if ya got him!!
Wadinator
I've got Slaton/Moats on one of my FF teams, and Hightower/Wells on another. Beanie is eating up more and more carries in Arizona, just like Moats is taking up more carries in Houston. The only difference being that Wells will eventually become AZ's lead back, where in Houston they still hope Slaton will be the man. What a pain. Wadinator
Ah... I was mistaken. I have the Moats/Slaton and the Wells/Hightower combinations on the SAME FF team. Yikes! We get one swing player that allows me to start three of these four.I also have Crabtree, Berrian, and T.O. that I could throw in the swing spot, if someone thinks I'd be better off that way. What do you think? P.S. Julius Jones is my only other back, and he's not going to score a point this weekend.
DREZLER
The week before Kubiak benched Slaton he was talking about how great Slaton was and how they were going to work with him. Then of course, he got benched, but now I read that he has been studying Tiki Barber and how he changed his carrying style to hold onto the rock better, which is a good sign. They also just had the bye week to work on it.Furthermore, Moats put the rock down on the goal line their last game, which doesn't bode well for him.It is also a fact that Slaton has way better hands and is very valuable in the passing game, I think he has 3 recieving td's this year?It is my opinion that Slaton will be right back to being the man for the rest of the year. zamboni
I started Slaton, and Browns getting all the carries. What a joke
LMITOUT
got a few receptions though...and a bonus TD. The good news is Moats hasn't seen the ball.I've got Schaub going against Andre Johnson tonight. It's a dogfight. Right now we're tied but I have the tie breaker. LMITOUT
Slaton was worth 15 points in my league and Percy 17, so about a coin flip in the end.I squeaked out a 2 point win over the team who had Andre Johnson tonight and I came in 6 points down.
