JBMasterAngler
Gustafson's credit is straighter than a grizzly's d!ckBy the way, which lake was the ice fishing scene's filmed on? Was it waconia?
muskyhunter57
I know the first one was in Wabasha.
McGurk
Movie took place in Wabasha, but most of it was filmed in/around Red Wing. I'm not sure which lake, but does it really matter when it comes down to it? Ice is Ice through a camera lense. If you are on Hwy 61 heading south, you can stop in Wabasha and have a drink at Slipperys. Not the movie bar, but the namesake is the same. drakerebel
No, but in college we hid a scentwick with some mighty ripe estrus in a friends dorm room It took them a couple of weeks to find the source...in the meantime they tore apart everything in their room and soaked everything in 409 and remained frustrated when they could not find the source. It was quite hilarious when they discovered the scentwick and had no idea what it was. They thought it was something even grosser than what it really was, which made it even funnier. The best thing yet was they had no idea who planted the smell. Thats' awesome , made me laugh. wouldn't been better if you would've walked in and saw them hanging green tree air freshners!!! SpikeyBoy
I was on the fishhouse scene set at Lake Rebecca Park Reserve in Rockford. The windchills were around -40F with highs around -10F or so. Walter Matthau, Jack Lemmon and Burgess Meredith were alot of fun to be around! It was a GREAT experience! Bonus movie question for those who need to know....Whose MN law enforcement officer and squad made their brief debut in the "closing up the baitshop after the owner's passing" scene? LakeoftheWoods
well yeah but a prequel would obviously be much younger guys anyways, right? yeah, but I don't think it would be as funny without them. would look like they are just trying to make a few extra bucks by capitalizing on an already great movie. I kinda thought the 2nd one seemed kind of like a sell out. weak storyline compared to the first.

JBMasterAngler
I'd say it's been at least 1,000 years since lakes in MN were drivable by thanksgiving By the way, Kevin Spacey as younger old man gustafson
