Shack
Everyone must still be worn out about Mondays game. I give this one to the DF. Best game all year. Just a mass-o-cur!
harvey lee
To get to the SB if they can, could they beat the Giants?
DTro
Best game all year. Surely you jestThe previous two were some of the best games in Vikings history, today's game was boring with a capital B
Born2Fish
It wasn't as much boring as it was everything that happened we knew would. 5-0, great start to the season!
MUSKY18
The next couple of weeks will be the big test.....if they can get past the Ravens and the Steelers, then this team is one to be talked about.
SledNeck
Next week will be the biggest test
Born2Fish
After seeing what the Steelers did against the Lions today, I have confidence that we can handle them pretty good. The Ravens also are a team that isn't real hot right now. I honestly think our real test will be the game following those 2...In Lambeau. CrappiesNCats
To get to the SB if they can, could they beat the Giants? Giants we can handle. a resurgent Philly team and a very Dangerous NO team might be a difft story.
Mudcutter
Philly maybe. NO WAY agst NO and NYG right now. We are not getting the blocking for AP and the D is giving up way to many rushing yards. Hapless Rams should have had at least another 10 points, more like 14 agst us if it wasn;t for some fortunate turnovers. Boller was horrible on his long throws. Vikes would get rolled agst Brees and Manning. We might get spanked agst a [PoorWordUsage] off Ravens team. Vikes come out of the next 3 games 6-2,,, I'am a happy camper.Vikes D is not as good as people think--- the OFF is.FAVRE makes the differnce. An unreal specimen at QB, and AP is WAITING for that GAME to BLOW UP.AP will have over 150 yards in one of the next 3 games.
JBMasterAngler
Steelers are NOT that good! I'm very confident we'll win that game. We should go about 13-3, but the super bowl is out of the question unless we have home field throughout the playoffs.
Jim Uran
Yep, the Steelers are overrated. They have a tough go all season, not to say that we are going to win for sure, but we should be the favorites. I like our chances.

Kyle Boller sacked for 13 yard loss, Jared Allen 52 yard fumble return in the forth showed they are proven force. Even if it is up against the 0-5 Rams IMO it is not the tough/good teams like the Steelers or NY later this year I am worried about. It is teams like the Rams who have not won a game, or Detroit coming up. Even Seattle! Those are the games that break a 16-0 season Just not so long ago (back in 2003), our 6/0 season was turned around by the 4/12 NY Giants?? Why, because they had a horrible start to the season (and ending) and we helped them break a 3 game loosing streak Cocky and dumb was the cause if I remember Honestly, the more I think about this, this was the best game of the season so far I guess if you are looking for "reality" TV drama, No! But if you were looking for good football, than Yes! They controlled the game! That is what I want & enjoy. None of that fourth quarter "Oh, I Don't Know" stuff. Even though a win is a win. It felt good yesterday.....
DTro
Well I guess if you call coughing up the ball in the Red Zone three times “good football”, well sure. It was a good team playing a bad team. Thankfully we were cheering for the good team I prefer 2 good teams going at it, personally.
Shack
You are right Dtro I can not argue with what you said. It should have been 50 something to 0 by the half, Jackson out in the third and Sage playing in the fourth. Coughing up the ball in the red zone has become reality I just live with it now Retraction to last post: What was i thinking, the Green Bay game was and will be the best game of this season. Maybe the next one at Lambo, if not, the SB is the only other game that would top that first GB game this year.
Shack
I guess I am on the fence with yesterdays game If anything sets yesterdays game apart from any other game this season, it has nothing to do with what happened on the field or during game time! It was in the post game interview with Farve WHAT A BURN! "This is the best team I have ever played with" While he is wearing a GB "earned" SB ring right on his finger If I am correct, he has never said that so far this season. I am not sure if he has said ti in the past, but what a slap-o-la in the face to the GB organization Go Vikes 2009/2010!
Scott K
I would have to say, the Vike's and Favres biggest game of the year will be on Nov. 1st. Favre will have the most amount of fans against him that he has ever encountered, and I am sure the noise in that place will be messing with our offensive line the entire game. Just playing there against the Packers will make Favre so nervous, I am afraid he will choke. But, incase he lights up the Packers, I will be there to see it, and to taunt the cheeseheads
bassNspear
they played well enough to beat the horrible rams. There going to have it tested the next few weeks with Ravens and Pitt!
Jim Uran
I don't think the defense played all that well, the rams shot themselves in the foot with two of those turnover in the redzone. Bad handoff to Jackson, freak fumble by the big guy that landed in EJ's hands. The rams drove down fairly easy didn't they?
Swimbait2009
Leech, I agree with you. We give up 122 yds on the ground to....THE RAMS??? Yeah, SJax is a beast, but c'mon! And AP only gains 69 yds? He found the endzone twice, but our pro bowl OL needs to step up if we have a chance to win games against stiffer competition. All that said, remember that the truly successful teams stay that way by winning the games they're SUPPOSED to win! We all remember the wins against the good teams, because they're dramatic (vs GB this yr), but how would we feel about being 1-4 with a win against GB? Sure, it would have been a dramatic win, but those 4 wins against the "easy" teams (I think we made the SF game a bit harder than it needed to be) are just as important. PierBridge
The next couple of weeks will be the big test.....if they can get past the Ravens and the Steelers, then this team is one to be talked about. It looks like one win in the next 3 which wouldn't be the end of the world. 0-3 is a possibilty though. 2 out 3 would be great and 3-0 is pipe dream and isn't going to happen! We'll have to wait until the last of those 3 games to see. I agree with ealier comments about the Vikes playing down to their competition. They sure did it against the Rams. Wadinator
No, they did not play down to the Ram's level. Within 6 minutes after the start of the game, the Vikes were up 14-0. At that point, every player on both sides of the ball reached up and hit the cruise control button. We had a bad team placed firmly in our rear view mirror and spent the rest of the game doing just enough to keep the lead in check.
Dave S
I'm looking at AP well under 100 yards for the day. Had the OL blocked like they're capable of from the beginning, AP would've ran for 150+.
harvey lee
AP has not run for many yards the last two games. We won but I wonder why he is lacking in the yardage department. We will see if we can get through the next 3 games. Then I will get really pumped. Too many years of getting pumped up and then the big let down.Hopefully this season we can get to the play offs and be the team to beat. The Giants will be a tough team this season also. The Vikes are still not where they need to be but they are coming along.
Scott K
AP has more yards this year, then he did last year at this time, so he is actually doing better. We just have many more weapons to use, so we don't need to wear out AP.
