I'm sure the Yankees are not scared of us one bit. Which may work to our advantage in a huge way. You can't discount a hot streak.

If you think about it we only have to winning percentage from here on out. Should be a lot easier than having to go 17-4 to get into the playoffs. Now if only the Yankees could play like the Royals and White Sox...

I need to apologize to the tiwns, and ask for my fork back I stuck in them 2 weeks ago. I am a big tiwns fan, and should of never considered them done. I hope they accept my apologie an take me back as a fan for the playoff push! I feel better!!!

Go Twins, keep that never DIE attitude!

I don't think I've ever been more entertained by a baseball game than I was last night. Nice work boys!!!

Be very careful NY, the Twins have a little Mojo going on right now. I'd rather face the Yanks in a 5 game series vs a 7 gamer. Chances are slim, but never count these boys out.

I have a real hard time sitting through an entire ball game but last nights was awesome! I did multi-task and paint jigs also...

Please come into NY fired up and shut up all these darn Yankee fans I live around. I dont have a favorite team, just anyone that beats the yankees...

the next week is going to tell us a lot about the character of this team. august and september has seen a steady diet of teams with losing records and one team with a winning record but in the midst of a collapse that goes in the record books. fortunately the kitties made more mistakes than us yesterday and as exciting as that game was, the boys are going to need to play even better and not make the mistakes they made yesterday to have any shot of making some noise against the big boys.

they are playing with great confidence and look relaxed out there for the most part. they need to stay in that mode and not get tight. keep that nothing to lose mentality and maybe, just maybe, we'll still have some baseball to get excited about next week at this time.

I only turned it on in the 5th inning but I agree those next 7 innings were some of the best baseball excitement I have experienced as a fan in a while.....back and forth with chances on both sides.

Who knows how diff it would have been if Raburn had not played Cuddy's bloop into a triple though. OTH, the Tigers blew plenty of chances all by themselves.

We survived Jesse "[PoorWordUsage] [PoorWordUsage]" Crain. And how bout that Punto Gem for the force at the plate...he made it look easy.

Definitely a good game.

they need to get one at NY and come home with 1-1 or it might be a long series for the twins. i hope they can put the flames out on the yanks! I hate the yanks, and nother better then to see the best team in baseball, go down to the twins in round 1

Last night was a very entertaining game. Not sure either team played great baseball, but the effort was certainly there. Yankees better show up ready, or they will lose. We beat them in 2006 with stellar pitching. You have plenty defense and offense. It will come down to who pitches best (like every game and series). I really think the best team won. We've been trying to figure out how we stayed in first place so long, since about the middle of August.

Leyland should either be run out of town on a rail, or given the manager of the year award. Not sure yet. The jury is still out, but I'm greasing up the rail.

Anyway. Great game. Good luck. I work closely with a big Yankee fan who lives in NY. I'll certainly carry a Twins banner the next week or so. Good luck to ya.

Last night was actually one of the best games I have ever seen. Twins are pretty tough not to like but that being said Go Yanks and for the next 8 days i wish the twins nothing but grief. Short series anything can happen but talent wise this is the best Yankee team I can remember (even better then 96) 3 man rotation b/c of the days off of sabathia, burnett and petite is tough to beat and now that Joba is in the bullpen between him Hughes and Rivera its real solid. Only thing left to find out is whether guys like Damon, Cano and Cabrera can hit clutch like o'neil, brossius and williams did. I think A rod will finally have a huge series as he doesnt have nearly the pressure he did before because of his teamates around him.

Grew up in NY about 10 minutes from Yankee Stadium until I was 18 (36 now)and while I like the Twins against any other team hopefully the Yankees will take them out quickly.
