I know, I know: grin Only week three whistle

But hey! It is week three and some have every right to brag up their team and some have a reason to say "It is only week 3" wink

Anyone having a stellar year or a very poor year?

For me I think easy access to team changes via cell phone, mobile, text, and app alerts of real time issues Saturday and even Sunday, laptop, all add up to "screwing up" grin

In my league I am about 20 points from going 0-3 frown I have Romo left to play tonight eek I think I am going 0-3 for the first time every grin

So far, so good.

I'm looking at going 2-1 in three leagues! 28 points from DeAngelo Williams could knock me to 1-2 in one of the leagues, however.

I'm pretty happy. My teams are scoring well...close to 90 or over in my two 16 team leagues, and I scored 181 in an 8-man league with 13 roster spots!

I like the easy access! I am on the road a lot for my job, and often working Sunday mornings. Nice to be able to take 5 minutes and do all my starts on my cell phone.

In my league that matters I'm 0-3 and have been blown out in 2 of those losses.

My team looks good on paper but they just aren't showing up each week.

Here is a quick roster run down.

QB- Rivers

WR- R. Moss

WR- A. Boldin

WR. S. Smith (NYG)

WR. K. Walter

WR. A. Gonzalez

RB. M. Turner

RB. R. Bush

RB. C. Williams

RB. T. Jones

TE, J. Carlson

I scored less then 60 two weeks in a row and its a PPR league.

Slaton is killin me, I'm not playing him next week, I've given up on him until he puts a good week or two under his belt. Although I may have to play him sooner or later because Kevin Smith was hurt, and I'm not sure on the severity of his injury.

I'd say I'm having an avg year nothing stellar, I don't know why I drafted Braylon Edwards, he's a big let down. I'm 2-1 and have been just barely winning when I do. But I still plan on winning the whole league of course grin

Ok, I’ll vent.

[vent]

I think Fantasy Football is out of hand. Guys/Gals take it way too seriously. I tried it for a couple of years and it just wasn’t my cup ‘o tea.

You just have to shake your head when you hear people calling into a radio program and waiting on hold for an hour to see/get opinions from a so called expert on if they should trade A for B. Or setting the alarm for 2am, so that he can wake up and be first to snatch up the hottest free agent that he heard about on TV. Isn’t the whole idea of FF to have some knowledge and pull the trigger yourself rather than have things like the latest and greatest magazine cheat sheet at the draft?

I heard somewhere that one of those so called experts suggested starting Byron Leftwich this past week. How’d that one go again for Byron??? laugh

Does anyone else feel like FF has ran its course? I mean you have Joe SixPack hanging on to every injury report up to the last minute and 1 hour specials on ESPN profiling a mock FF draft.

I guess I’m getting old.

[/vent off]

You should either put Jones and Walter together or Boldin on his own in a trade for a 2nd decent back. I know Bush has some potential in a PPR league, but he's far too inconsistent and his injury risk is HUGE. Caddy is in one of the worst time-shares and worst offenses in the NFL. Jones is struggling this year, and is giving way to Leon Washington. Here is a quote from Rotowire.com:

"Jones continues to split the workload with Leon Washington right down the middle, and Washington continues to do more with his touches. At this point Jones really is just a situational flex play, not someone you can trust every week."

You *may* be able to get a Ryan Grant or Knowshon Moreno type of guy for that trade. What else is on the waiver wire? Can you get Glen Coffee or Donald Brown? If Gore is hurt for more than one week, Coffee is the starter hands down. San Francisco proved that their offense is not terrible and they are a run first offense to be sure. While most of Donald Brown's time last night was garbage time, Addai promises to struggle down the stretch with injury and age.

Well Dtro..... we are all on this site because we love the outdoors and I think you could say the same thing about that...... so you are saying you don't listen to radio shows, watch TV shows, read magazines etc. to become a better fisherman???? You only rely on your own knowledge right..... I have been playing Fantasy for 15 years and it is different than it used to be, but it will always have its place somewhere.....it is a HUGE business.... and yeah, you are getting old!:)

touche' coach touche'

I can't say that I'm really fond of the big business aspect of fishing either though.

I've won a couple FF leagues, but the draft was what I enjoyed the most.

I agree with all of that.... big business in fishing/outdoors has taken some of the "special" feel out of it for me.... The draft is definitely the best part of FF. In my most important league, my uncle was my partner and he passed a few weeks before the draft last year. Really hasn't been the same since.

I have been on a roll now.

In our leagues scoring, I have a great chance on busting the 150 mark this weekend laugh

If it had not been for the Vikings D going negative crazy, I would have had a chance being 160's.

Man Thomas Jones, The Mow, Hines Ward were on fire. Even Culter (even with the loss) broke 20pts (should have been 25pts, but those TO's and that 4th mad ). Double even goes to Longwel. Almost broke the 20 mark for me. That is killer.

I have LT to play tonight. Just a little shaky with him and his injury statues this year so far. He was my first round pick tired. I think I have only pulled maybe 10 pts from him this year and maybe played him twice frown . I took a chance against my better judgment and played him this week. Figure the health reports are very good, just off a bye, throw in an extra day (Monday night), plus I could not stand seeing LT sitting on my bench anymore grin

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS SCORING THIS WEEK!

Yeah in our ESPN league the scoring is a little bit too much. When a guy scores 55 points(Brady), I think that is a tad too much. Though I also play on Facebook and my team has been pretty dominant(up until this week!!). I am currently 4-1 but I need about 68 points from Orton, Moreno and Gates combined. It is a LONG shot, but then again, NE did put up 59 points.

5-1, should be 6-0 but Brees flopped week 3.

Brees

Schaub

D. Williams

P. Thomas

A. Bradshaw

K. Smith

M. Manningham

B. Edwards

D. Bowe

H. Ward (had J. Cotchery till last week)

NYG Kicker

DEN DEF (had DET till last week)

Actually I'm 4-1 as of right now, the team I'm playing against this week has a few guys going tonite but the score is 108 to 54. I think a 54 point lead is a comfortable one.

As of today in my 10 man league Im 3-2 its frustrating, should be doing far better. Lost weeks 1 and 2 even though I scored the second most points the guys I played put up the most...

Overall in 3rd place with my record and increasing my total points lead each week.

my roster.

QB-Peyton Manning

QB-Eli Manning (thanks for having your worst week on Peytons bye)

WR-Brandon Marshall

WR-Steve Smith (giants)

WR-Hines Ward

WR-Greg Jennings

RB-Michael Turner

RB-Thomas Jones

RB-Ricky Williams

TE-Owen Daniels

TE-Dustin Keller

K-Ryan Longwell

DST-Giants

DST-Denver

Looks like Im gonna take a loss this week after starting Giants D, Eli and smith unless Marshall puts on a clinic tonight.
