Jim Almquist
I just heard that on ESPN but they did not say if it would affect his start tonight or how long he would play.
TR21
Is that what someones "sources" said. I tell you ESPN is getting as bad or worse than the National Enquirer. No slam on you jimalm just getting a little tired of all the drama in sports. If he did suffer a cracked rib, throw a flack jacket on him and get him out there, lets see what the old fart can do with some practice time under his belt. Jim Almquist
I had the windows down and was enjoying the drive when I heard them talking and I thought it was Farve doing the talking. He is a pretty tough guy so he should play but with a little discomfort.
hartner62
I heard the same report. Favre was the one that thought he might have a cracked rib. He also said he won't be wearing extra pads so I'm guessing it's not that bad.
S.D. Ice Angular
Just heard KFAN talk about it also.
Steve Foss
Man, that's too bad. Hey, WAIT JUST A DOGGONE MINUTE! He's not on my team anymore, so he can crack all the ribs he wants.
Cooter
Pretty sure he cracked his head a while ago, not sure about the ribs. Not good for us, he plays well on vicodin.
DoubleLunger
Drama Queen is at it AGAIN!!!
harvey lee
I could care less what he says to the press. Its all a big game and I don't blame him.All I care is that when the season starts, he is on his game drama Queen or not.
Dave S
Guess that explains the evil smirk Rosenfels had the other day in an interview. Maybe Sage was behind it?
LMITOUT
At what point do we decide that Favre is screwing around with ESPN reporters since they've practically been riding his jock strap for the past six months and he's tired of the bogus reports they've been putting out and trouble they're causing? Maybe if enough red herrings blow up in their face they'll be more careful on reporting every little rumor they hear without solidifying their sources first. Is this ESPN or TMZ these days?Adam Schefter is a new guy at ESPN and is apparently trying to make a name for himself, but all I've seen is one bogus report after another about Favre, Marshall, etc come out of this windbag. NFL Network was right to dump this clown. ESPN has had so much mud on their face in the past six months they're starting to make MSNBC look credible. Jarrod32
Favre is just pre-setting his excuses. I still don't think there is any way he makes it to week 8 health wise.
harvey lee
Who cares if Farve screws with the press. They are always in the players faces and I like the fact that Farve has the moxy to hand it to them. They deserve everything a player tells them, truth or not.All the press ever does is try to create some [PoorWordUsage] to interest others to come to their news or HSOforum. It works.Even if he does have a cracked rib, player have them all the time.A mountain out of a mole hill is what it is.
Scott K
Week 8? I don't think he will start the opening game. He will either be cut, injured, or retire before week one.
gr8icefishinmind
Get used to it cause it is going to be happenning all season long......favre this and favre that! He is going to be sore and hurt alllll season!! HE'S OLD!!
james_walleye
Favre at 55 would be a better option to take a team deep in the playoffs rather than junkson.
pinkfloyd4ever
Favre is just pre-setting his excuses. I still don't think there is any way he makes it to week 8 health wise. exactly, got his excuses ready to use
PierBridge
Actually it was a phone interview with a bad connection he "Favre" really said he may have to throw a Crack-back block and the interviewer thought he said I may have a Cracked Rib. Bada-Bing!ESPN really has sunk to a New low.
zepman
Someone earlier compared them to TMZ...the comparison is not that far off anymore.
