Ratso's and Shrimpo's

Do you guys tip these with waxies or larvae or do you just fish then plain?

If there is an active bite, I won't tip them. If I can't get them to commit that way, then I will tip them. Month in a half, I've been having to tip them with waxies. Pink Rasto's have been working pretty well.

Ditto. If the fish are aggressive I don't tip them with anything. If I see fish hesitate on my camera I'll tip them with a spike or waxie. The Shrimpo's are my favorite.

I never tip them with anything! They work great with just the tails.

I always start with just the plastic, I only add the real bugs to them if needed.

Good answers. I started with tipping them yesterday with red euro's and the fish would not commit so I took them off and fish them plain. The tail gets more action with nothing on there and I started catching more fish.

I start out with it plain and then if need be I will tip with 1 euro (usually red).....

Always tip with euros unless I am out, but they do work with no bait, but not as well IMO.

Not to change the subject but I have been having a lot of luck with a purple nuclear ant tipped with a purple dupie!

i don't tip them with anything. If I'm using larva or waxies I'm usually using a differnt type of jig.

During hardwater I have been successful using plastics alone, but I have never been that impressed. I have always done better when it's tipped with some live bait.

In the spring time, on the other hand, I have been on such an aggressive bite just a Flu Flu type jig or small plastics was all I needed. Sometimes using a little scent attractant makes the difference also.

When im fishing with ratso's and shrimpo's on the lake near by for perch, i usually tip with a whole minnow hooked by the mouth or a minnow head or euro. and if i am out of bait i use a plain white mousie. good luck with those tips!
