haha, nice fish. I'm no catfisherman but I've heard of the, "channel cat dance" that happens so often when people handle channels. Good looking fish though.

Ive only caught smaller ones. HKK warned me but I went for it anyway. I got the cat dance for sure. Hand was stinging for a little while from those lovely teeth. They definitely have some jaw power!

Call me a pansy, but I usually avoid fishing for Channel Cats for that reason.

i have never had a problem with channel cats teeth. and i dont wear a glove. what do they do?

really? i never noticed, i always found bullheads have much stronger bite than channels. on the sauk where we fish there are brown bullheads up to 3lbs (i have only seen a few caught, i have personally never caught one of them) and black bullheads up to 2lbs. and the channel catfish usually range from 3 to 8. and it seems the bullhead have a much stronger bite... but thats just me

it would be kind of cool if someone did an experiment of which species of cat has the biggest bite force

Ya I got a no proof of insurance ticket. 87 in a 65 and thats all I walk away from isn't to bad at all thank you Officer Christianson. Thats bad JU JU for video taping our certain friends miss happenings of late lastnite. We definitely need to get out one of these days Andy!

congrats Nick on the PB channel and you just learned a good lesson about channels. I see that the channel cat dance was hard on your jeans. you know OUCH the knees come up high and you almost jump out of them I seen a guy do that at the Henderson access one year tried to lip hold a 12lb c-cat and out of the boat he come screaming like a little kid on the tilt a wirl
