finally didnt get skunked out on pool 2. Was only out for a couple hours...had never fished this area so i was scoutin more than anything. 1 largemouth and 1 smallie...heres a pic of the smallie.

i didnt measure it...i would guess prolly 14-15...it wasnt huge but felt good to hook into the first smallie of the year

Here's my first LM of 2010. Just a nice ~2.5 lb'er to start off the season.

Caught her on a small spinnerbait using my new Skeet Revo on a 7'MF Avid. GREAT combo!

I actually did not measure that fish, didn't have any measuring tool on me. I would estimate between 23 and 24 inches, it was actually a fairly skinny fish though.

Me, my wife and a buddy hit one of our little bass lakes here in ND yesterday. Cold day but we had a blast!!

Near records anyways ... both were successfully released back into their habitat, and replica mounts are in the making haha nawww, but she had a great time, and that's all I care about. She almost landed a few amazing carp, including one that would shatter my PB of ~19 lbs. But my dumb [PoorWordUsage] without a landing net made her landing ratio plummet incrementally. Lesson learned. Next time, landing net is required to keep lady friend as happy as can be.

Largest fish was 4lb 8oz. I can never break that 5lb barrier. I thought I did with my first fish. Fish were hitting light on grub curly tail in the morning and slamming smithwicks in the afternoon. All were on flats and sloping dropoffs. Can't wait for the opener down here.
