As far as we men know... one of those displayed is NEVER a good news...

Yep, seems that we extended an invite to the men to show up Jan 10th for our GTG but no one was interested.

What does it mean when men say it? I've heard my fair share of "I'm fine" or "It's fine" from men and it's not true. Do we apply the equality standard here also?

My favorite is "we need to do this". We need to clean out the garage or we need to paint the house or boy we really need to get the lawn mowed. When ever I hear "we need to" It really means you need to get this done and soon. I cant even imagine the the reaction I would get if I came in and said we really need to get the laundry folded and put away.

what equality standard??? We men never hear stories of the wife sleeping on the couch while the husband sleeps in the bed... just other way around...

Sorry guys, not always true. I slept on the couch for 2 months after my husband came home from the hospital from a devastating illness. He has ticked me off so bad I have slept in the car rather than be in the same house with him.

I actually hear this phrase from my husband all the time, and you know who does it.....ME!! He got the truck stuck in the ditch recently, came in the house and informed me that I had to call AAA to get it out. I could relate a books worth of equality stories, but they would really make me wonder why I have stayed married 38 years.

Don't forget Rule #1. We like sleeping on the couch. It's like camping.

If said over and over we start to believe it. grin

Around our house "we need to do this" means I get to do it while she watches me. That is the we thing I guess.
