OnAFly
We were catching them jigging for eyes. Every once in a while your jig wouldn't hit the bottom, set they hook and you pulled up one of those My dad caught more of those nice crappies than I did. I was the rockbass king that day
reinhard1
i go to this lake usualy only in late fall. the lake is dark stained and has a max depth of 18 feet. both the walleys and crappies we catch are in less than 10 feet that time of the year. we get both by drifting with the jigs i mentioned. when i cant feel bottom i let out a little more line. if it's more wind than i like, i anchor the boat and cast the jig off the two points we fish. i let it sink to the bottom and then slowly work it in. the color of pink head and white body with pink feather on the end of the fuzzy grub. we have tried other colors but this one it seems that the fish only hit so we stick with them. the crappies are 10 to 13 in. average in this lake and have no trouble with the presentation with that big ol mouth. this is an older pic from that lake but hasn't changed any over the years. good luck.
