You know, Walleye is tough to beat but..

I had lake trout marinated in Italian dressing then grilled over an open fire drizzled with lemon butter. This was on a trip to Canada. It was my favorite meal on the trip, which included fresh walleye and norhern shore lunches.

Pretty tough to beat a fresh Lake Superior Coho Or King Salmon. Also any panfish, walleye, or northern. Lake trout is not all that good IMO. Brook trout and brown trout are pretty good also.

I just can't find anything better than a few big perch. They almost taste sweet when done right. Its a real treat too, there aren't many lakes around the metro that will produce eaters. I had Walleye tonight and had a smile on my face when I got done eating. It tastes so good once it hits your lips!!!
