Black_Bay
Being newly married and never having the need for a combined license, do both parties need to be present to purchase a combined license? I'm assuming they do because a drivers license is involved.
Scott K
I never brought my wife with. I think you will need her ssn, or dl # the first time though. After that they ask if you want the husband/wife combo.
Schloogs
I have gotten our couples license in the past without the sig. other being there. You do need to know birthdate, height, weight and stuff like that though. So if your newly married it will be a good test for ya. Also, just a tip, error on the side of caution when it comes to weight
IFallsRon
I've bought the family license for years without the wife present. I think that she needs to sign it when you bring it home.Just remember to be generous when filling in her weight.
Scott K
Quote: Just remember to be generous when filling in her weight. And make sure you get her eye color correct, because if you dont, it doesnt change in there system, and you relive the mistake every season, and everytime she looks at her fishing license

Scott K
Either that or ask before hand, then say no, really that much huh? See how long before you get to go fishing again!
Black_Bay
Thanks guys. I think I'll just use the info from her DL and subtract a few pounds just to be safe.
DTro
I would go with more like 25lbs Then nochalantly show it too her and say, "gee I hope I got everything right"
Sandmannd
I would take her with the first time. After that they have it on record so you can just pick them up.

Black_Bay
She's had her own license the last 2 years so her info should be in the system. I'll probably pick up our license this weekend. That will give me a good reason to head to the man mall.
tisosy11
When i bought my couples licence i didn't have any information.Just gave them her name and they punched it in.It was a lot easier than i thought it would be!
schweady
I've gotten the husband/wife license for as long as I remember. Funny thing, she hasn't gained a pound in all those years!
jwhjr
I added 5 pounds when I renewed it this year to see if she'd notice... SHe got a good laugh out of that.
minndonn
You can get a combination fishing and small game for you. I have done it for years and she has not been with for years. They ask her weight every year. Maybe the lady selling is just testing me.
rockman
Just a reminder to everyone- to have the spouse sign her copy of the license to make it legal.I have had to do that reminder for several years in a row.No sense getting a citation for something as minor as forgetting to sign the license. UdeLakeTom
Also a little reminder....you have to be legally married, girlfriends, live-ins, mistresses do not count and the DNR is always citing somebody with invalid combined husband/wife licences.
