Tough first couple of games for the Vikes. I am going to be optomistic and say they got an outside chance of being 10-6 more than likely 9-7. anyone elses thoughts? I knows is mid april, its alittle early for serious predictions

I agree that 9-7 sounds about right for the Vikings (as well as the Packers). For the Vikes, that first month of the season is brutal. They are going to have to have a serious winning streak after that first month is over and in and around their BYE. Playing the AFC South and NFL South presents some challenging teams. The Vikes were a mediocre team last year, but got the 4th hardest strength of schedule.

As bad as Chi-town and Detroit are expected to be 10-6 or 9-7 will probably take the division.

How's this for getting off the hook? The Patriots have the lowest strength of schedule. They could conceivably go 16-0 twice.

Hmmm? I show they have the 3rd toughest schedule at .535 with only the Bills and Raiders ahead of them at .539 each...maybe I am reading it wrong...Vikes & Redskins have the 2nd toughest in in the NFC at .500 and only the Lions have a tougher one at .504

Anyway - Go Vikes 10 - 6 and fighting for the division and and/or wildcard in the NFC!!!!

Looks like the schedule makers gave the Vikes a break, they don't play one cold weather game this year. Well 1 against The Bears, I thought the past years they played more outside in the winter months.

Not too optimistic IFalls Ron! Hard to be with this team sometimes though! Anyways I'll go with a wide prediction between 8-8 and 10-6. I do think we'll make the playoffs this season. I also think we will split with Green Bay and Chicago and beat Detroit twice. I will also say the Vikes pull off an upset somewhere in weeks 1 - 4. Maybe vs. the Pack (Depending on the return of that QB who can't make up his mind!)

the vikes will be mean this yr thats forsure...we might have to let teams score on us every now and again just to make it interesting....poor rodgers...he's the first guinea pig...he's probably at home cleaning his undies out right now.

IFallsRon- You only see 5 wins? I got the Vikes 11-5. I don't see any reason they can't do that. They have upgraded both the offense and the defense this year. T-Jack has better receivers and a year of experience under his belt. Allen will be playing next to the Williams boys, so he should be having another 15 sack season. The rebuilding is over. This team is ready to compete now!

Vikings vs. Cowboys in NFC Championship game (and this time they won't have Drew Pearson!).

I will say 13-3 with the addition of Allen. He is worth a couple wins I would hope, for what we gave for him grin.gif
