Scheels is like Gander Mt. for those of use in Fargo/Moorehead area. The are several stores though the closest to the cities area would be St. Cloud or Mankato.

Acutally Gander MT is carrying the Scout made my PrinceTec. It is a bit smaller than the one they carried last year.
I work at the Duluth GM and have had customers ask about the Scout. Same blue color and a tad smaller than the other one.

BOTH ARE GREAT LED lights that I would recommend to anyone looking to get rid of bulk (lantern) in your portable! YES- IT IS that bright!

Save yourself about 1/2 the money. Go to Walmart and look at the Ray-O-vac sportsman headlight. Lasts 200 hours with 3 AAA batteries. This is the second year I used it, still original batteries! Has 3 lights, LED white, LED red, and regular flood light. I never have to use more than the LED white.

I think the price last year was less than $13.00 !!

I put mine in a jack-o-lantern with the fast flash mode going for halloween. And I also used it for the flasher for turning my son's wheelchair into a firetruck on halloween. Way cool! Just some more of the millions of uses for them bad boys.

mm

I agree with Hrd. Bought the same Ray-o-vac last year. The two red L.E.D.'s are awesome inside the portable, especially on thin ice (you know what I mean) in shallow water where you maybe don't want that bright white lantern spooking the fishes.
At the grand opening of G.M. in Lakeville a couple weeks back, I picked up a cyclops 6 L.E.D. headlamp for $9.99. Original price...$39.99.

Another good headlamp is the one made by Energizer. I picked mine up at Wal-mart, but have also seen them at Target. The have 2 white LED's and one red one. It is very light and puts out a good amount of light and is worth the $15 that I got it for.

Northlander- Last name is Kime, though our last names aren't on our name tags. I work over in the fishing dept. So I may have seen you before, but didn't know who you were. I'm working next Friday evening and then next Saturday (11/8) 9-5pm. Stop in if you have a chance and introduce yourself.
Chattin' about fishing always kills the time faster than stockin' lures!

Try the Zippa Tikka I think its called. It has the retactable band on it. You can have it on your hand, wrap around your leg or wrist, etc. etc.. The one thing I really like about it is I can afix it to my cross pole in my portable shanty. This way I dont have the discomfort of it around my head, not thats its a real discomfort. The 3 led lights light up my Shappell 3000 very well. Can easily read with no eye discomfort.

The Ray-o-Vac is the headband type. Has elastic straps for around the head and over the top of your head. It has a 1" krypton flashlight with the three L.E.D.'s in a line right under the flashlight. It should be around $12.96 at Wally World. (Wal-Mart)

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
