  1. Anyone read this article tonight on the Star Tribune HSOforum? Pretty ingenious how they are trying to crack down on all the littering on the ice. http://www.startribune.com/local/83691042.html?elr=KArks:DCiUHc3E7_V_nDaycUiacyKUHDYaGEP7eyckcUX
  2. Yeah, ok. You described it really well. I'm impressed, lol! I was kind of thinking it was something along those lines. I'll try working on it some more. Thank you very much. Strad
  3. I know some of you think a deal is a deal but as corny as this sounds, if there isn't a handshake involved then it isn't really a deal to me. Just because you say you'll buy it over the phone or email, you expect the seller to sit around and wait for you to show up when you can. On the other hand you don't know how desperate people can be for money, especially today. Money talks and if I kept getting calls about an item I have for sale, I'll let people know that I have someone coming at such and such a time but if they can get here sooner, then I'll sell it to them. I have no way of knowing if you are going to keep YOUR word and show up when you say you are going to, meanwhile, I need to sell my item. I know what you're saying but this is a complicated one and I understand your frustration. Don't let this experience get you down, you'll find another one.
  4. The inside of the chains has just a clip to connect them but the outside has something that looks like a screen door pull handle and I can't figure out how the heck to tighten them and fasten them with that.
  5. They're called ExtremeMax tire chains and the company is based in Lino Lakes. I found their HSOforum and am going to give them a call. Thanks
  6. Yeah, I understand everything about deflating the tires and how to mount them, it's the clasp that he had never seen before and didn't know how to tighten. The instructions are of no help so I think I might try that clasp that screws open and looks like a link of chain. I just thought someone might have bought a set from them and had some pointers. I am going to do some more searching on web. Thanks
  7. I ended up getting v-bar chains from sportsman's guide ($40) and was wondering if anybody else has bought them and if there is a trick to installing them. I had my more experienced 4-wheeling buddy come take a look today and he wasn't at all familiar with the the way you are supposed to hook the chains up. Thanks.
  8. Hey guys. I am having a very difficult time trying to find rear tire chains for my 06 Sportsman 500 size 25x11-12. I've been Googling and calling around and nobody seems to have this size. I even went to Polaris' HSOforum and even they don't have this size! Is there an alternative size I can use? I see some chains listed as "56x16". What does that mean? Thank you very much.
  9. tedl- I actually have a 1984 Honda 125m three wheeler!
  10. Got it! Schumacker, Wally, $19.97...BOMB!
