My take-both have a ton of talent. Both will make major coin! D.A. will make plenty, DC will aslol

I doubt there was a fix...

After listening to the song that DA did he can make it as a pop dude as well.. that song was hot!

Great season!.. Fun to watch.. Ill be back next year to watch!

Ya that Carrie is an uber hot babe and one awesome singer too. I think she just keeps getting better looking and I agree with dude she was ALWAYS hot to begin with. If that outfit was any shorter tonight it probably would have caused major FCC meltdowns...

Also I prefer Cook but I'm surprised he won. They are both great in their own way.

Haven't posted on this thread but have been catching quite a bit of the show during dinner.

D. COOK had it from the beginning and America got it right. The guy has been a star for a couple months already.

Archie is phenomenal too but doesn't have the IT that Cook does. Big ZZ top fan, but glad they didn't interrupt Cook!

They put on a great show tonight and about all of the last 6 this year were great. I've been wondering why one of them didn't pop up on an earlier season.

The more I see and hear of Brooke White, the more I want her to put something out - HEY, CD I mean. wink

OK, so I didn't see the show from Tuesday until last night. While watching it my opinion was Cook took it hands down. Salimandar is just the same dog and pony show night after night. Cook has originality and showmanship along with a great voice. If I had to hear Randy say "you could sing the phonebook" I think I would hurl. It was nice to see Simon appologize to Cook and say he was borderline disrespectful. It's god to see Rock is still alive and well.

Best duet of the night when to Brook, that was awesome. The one with tatoo girl was horrible, she kept trying to sing and run over that Michael guy. These guys need to learn how to sing together. Syesha looked great again. Paula is a train wreck, I laughed at what Kimmel was saying.

I don't think I've seen that humble of an idol before, it was great to see.

Syesha and Carrie were the hottest numbers of the show. The red number that Syesha wore was as Randy would say "Da Bomb". Earlier in the season I was a big fan of Amanda Overmyer (the rocker chick) but watching her last night she danced like a robot, and was stiff and acted like she really didn't want to be there. I noticed they didn't give her much airtime either. I think this hands down was the best season ever, and Kudos to Simon for showing his humble side and admitting that sometimes he can be a real jerk-bait. My favorite number of the show was also ZZ Top, bet when Carrie came out they were ready to sing "She' got legs, she knows how to use them".....................

JUSTICE IS SERVED, Cook Rocks! I think that the deciding factor was all the classic rockers who were pi$$ed off when Daughtry got booted all came together for one night and voted their butts off! Had to beat down all the pre-teens who were texting their little fingers off. Both are good, agreed, both will make some serious bank, agreed. But Cook rocks my world and Arch is just not my cup of tea!

So now what are we going to talk about. Last Comic Standing?

Let's put away the Idol thread and I will start it up again next year!!!

The young kid was very good and will go just as far as the other. I would rather not win the thing as the 2nd place dude can do what he likes and take any offer he recieves. The winner is stuck with what they offer.

I agree, justice was served - Cook deserved the win.

I also agree, Amanda Overmeyer - completely horrible!!!! Her 15 minutes have come AND GONE.

They put Cristy Lee out front during the opening song? Go figure!!!

I'm glad it's over. Now I can get in full 'its finally summer' mode

The second place David always came off as someone who's niche will be Christian music. I don't see him going anywhere but that or a ten-year stint at Disney Land.

DC was my favourite all along. I thought he was terrific on Tuesday night. I like that he told Simon where to stick his worthless opinion about the 3rd song.

There's no question that DA has the pipes but if he had won this thing, he'd be chewed up and spit out by the evil spirits of the entertainment world. He just doesn't seem tough enough to handle that side of the industry yet. I think he's better off not winning.

DC will absolutely rock the world just like Carrie Underwood did to country music.

I didn't buy Simon's apology for a second. Both my wife and I think that he knew DC was the winner so he tried to save face by coming clean. HE DIDN'T EVEN STAND UP TO APPLAUD THE ZZ TOP NUMBER! I don't care who you are, when ZZ TOP plays, you stand up after their song.

Sayesha showed everyone that she has the vocals and the stage presence to be successful. We haven't seen the last of her.
