Just got back from fishing. I was only out there for a couple of hours called it quits early because i almost flipped over about 6 times in my portable from wind gusts. It just aint worth it might as well stay home and go on FM.

I decided to stay off the lake today as well. I tried fishing in wind like this once before this year, and I nearly got blown off the lake. I fired up the Big Buddy in the garage and worked on my truck. It was nice and warm in there

i tried fishing today too in a tournament. biggest waste of $3 in my life, fishing was way down, not a ton of fish were caught. plus i had to chase my portable across the lake because of the wind.

Since I moved down here 5 years ago...I really miss not having snow and the bitter cold. I would much rather live up north...believe me! BUT....it sure was nice today! lol

I just let my 2 dogs out a little while ago. its minus 10 and windier than heck. when they were done doing their thing they laid down out there in the drifts! They are both herding dogs with heavy dense coats. they love this weather! me....not so much.

Reminds me of a story an old farmer told when I was a kid. He was taking a pail of hot water to the barn from the house to wash milking equipment. On the way, it froze solid, and it froze so fast that the ice was still hot.

Just went out to get the paper and walked apox. 100 yards and froze you know what off!

Came inside fired up the wood stove, and checked out the tv channel. -25 with -80 windchill That is why my coat froze as soon as I stepped outside. The dogs didn't even come out of their dog house to see who was outside.

Stay inside today and keep warm! The fish will be there next weekend people!

i braved it to the ice shack late friday night before the storm blew in and didn't leave until today at 11am...some of the best crappie fishing i've had all year - unbelievable for the weather!
