Boar
Yea I got confused with my fantasy marriage. What?.... fantasy football, fantasy nascar, it's all good. I still think they should have an expiration date in the marriage liscenes, every five years ya go back to the court house an have it renewed, or not. What? these are great ideas, I'm an idea man. Reynolds
Great post! Very interesting to read to through the biographies. Hello all! My name is Brett Moen. I am single ,nearly 28 years of age (Halloween, isn't that Spooktacular?) and I live in Jacksonville Beach, FL. I grew up maily in the Milaca area, though I did live in the Browns Valley and Glenwood areas when I was younger. I have been a Non-destructive Testing Technician for General Electric for the majority of the last five years. I travel often throughout U.S. and occasionally overseas while performing inspections on gas turbines in power plants. I unfortunately have not been able to spend much time in Minnesota as of late much to my chagrin. I am planning on buying a place in the Pine River area about this time next year, so I have that to look forward to. Looking for something with 5 or more acres and good sized shop so I can tinker around. As a kid I did not get the chance to do a whole lot of fishing or hunting, but I have become very interested in the outdoors over the last several years. I cannot explain how much I love ice fishing nowadays! I own a 10 x24 ice house on Mille Lacs which I will be remodeling over the month of December with the help of my brother-in-law. I've been so anxious to get back home and get started on it that I find it hard to sleep at night thinking of the days ahead on the hardwater. It's not helping matters any that I spend a few hours a night on this site either! Aside from ice fishing I also enjoy canoeing, camping, mountain biking, reading, playing guitar, listening to music, snowmobiling, four wheeling, and recently, frisbee golf. Jim Almquist
Hey Brett I just got done reading your bio and I was wondering if you have ever worked with Paul Knock ? We grew up together and He works for GE on the power plant turbines. Right know he is on a 6 month job over in japan so we haven't talked in a while. Lisa Almquist
Hi Brett-nice to meet you. Thanks for putting your bio in! I, too, LOVE ice fishing! Like glenn said, that is one sharp t-shirt!
Reynolds
Jimalm, the name doesn't ring a bell. Do you happen to know what his job title is? I know one of the guys I work with has done some inspection work over in Japan recently. Next time I see him I will have to ask him if he has run into your friend over there. Would not surprise me at all. In fact, I am working outside of Dallas right now and the Project Manager's wife is from Pillager and the Millwright Foreman is from the Wadena area. Sure is nice to chat with folks from back home. Glenn57, I do a lot of liquid penetrant and ultrasonic testing of compressor blades, eddy current of dovetails, and remote visual inspection of generators on GE 7F Turbines. I assume you are a millwright from what you had mentioned? Do you yourself ever make it out to the gas turbine sites? I only know of a couple in Minnesota, neither of which I have been to. glenn57
no i am not a millwright. i be a boilermaker and take care of the shops in our juridiction. so i dont get out to see the powerplants much at this point.

Maybe part of a installation or upgrade team.

Citori
I've looked at the site for years now. I guess now I finally had something to say so started posting last week. I'm 33 years old. I live in Moorhead, MN with my two sons and dog (lab). I like doing anything that gets me outside. Spend most of my time in the Detroit Lakes area. Love to hunt grouse, deer and go ice fishing. Currently trying to get oldest son excited about ice fishing. He loved it when he was younger. Now he isn't to excited to get out there. I don't want to force it. Any ideas? hopeforfish
Welcome Citori,The site has been fairly quite today. I agree that you should not force the ice fishing issue. Just keep offering and reminding him how much fun he used to have. Take him to a spoting goods store to intice him. That is just a couple of ideas from me.Hope
