Thinking about going to this one. The bay has got me thinking for sure. Trust me that hurts when I do that. Thats why it doesnt happen to often.

It sounds like most people want to do it on the bay so let's make that a final decision. I think we should do one of these gatherings each winter on a different body of water.

Now that we have come to an agreement on location. I want to start planning now. I have a wheeler, a single place trailer and a 2 man flip over/sled. I will have an open seat in my truck if someone wants to "carpool". Anyone got a bigger trailer or anyone without a wheelr and house that plans on going? I think we should be able to co-ordinate and make a caravan of trucks heading east to this event if we put our heads together.

I have a sled and a two man otter, so I'll be able to pull people out to the spot, but I think all the spots in my vehicle, trailer, and shack will be occupied.

I havent decided if Ill bring my frabill flip over or the clam 5600 ,,But Im hoping the ice will be safe enough to drive my subaru on the ice

On a side note I heard a rumor that the kewanis contest on fish lake MN is that same weekend so we may not get many people from Duluth to join us ,,,,Id rather have a chance to fish Cheq bay then be stuck fishing a small area (on the ice no shelters allowed) at fish lake (even thou I took 2nd place there last year )

Ran Im sure there will be details about the kewanis contest as it gets closer ,,,not sure how others would feel about switching the date for Cheq Bay to that weekend date thats not the same as the contest

Thats good news Steve. I know you have been wanting one for a while. At least I know who can pull my gear out for me now I'll see what I can do for getting a sitter for 2days. I'm going to need at least 2 days to catch a fish, well maybe a week
