DTro
Yep, I do believe we won't have any issues at all driving out there. The fish were biting well on Sun. We probably caught about 20 or so.
Scott M
I brought my dad out...He had chores on Saturday morning. We get there at 10...end of the good bite. He loses 3 bites, we move around for gills during the 12-2:30 shift, can't find any, come back, he loses another dynamite bite. 4:30 comes, we leave right before the good bite would have started again. I didn't get anything (I was fishing blind; he had my flasher). Moral of the story, we aren't going unless it's when I want to go (e.g. he's getting up super early to do chores). The morning shift had 5 guys on dtro's spot that limited out and another guy was setting up when we left. So I think the bite is good IF you time it right.Oh well, me and dad finally got out and had quality time. He knows I'm not bluffing when I said it was a good spot, and he had plenty of marks and chances during the non-peak hours.Get to Cool Cats Early Folks!!!! I have a buddy in Fargo that I've been wanting to get out fishing with, and this would actually be a good place to meet up. I also have to confirm with the better half, but should be good to go. Shack
aanderud, I figured what “the hey”. I had to dip into my summer line up of new cat rods and reels fund to purchase it, but I feel I made a wise choice. What I did was I gathered and reviewed a lot of iced cat images from Hanson, Dtro, Tom H and others, to find what they all had in common. It was the MarCum. I know some get lucky (LOL), but I think good electronics is the key to getting the fish on the line and up the hole.I hope to see ya again, I will be their. metrojoe
Well the wife switched her schedule around and it looks like I'll be there. I'm hoping to convince my 2 boys to come out with me. Is the dawn bite still the best bet or are they going all day? Also wanted to point out that the smaller gas station/bait shops stop carrying the bigger minnows after the season closes. (something we found out at the last Cool Cats event)We ended up going to Mike's Bait and Tackle in Eden Vally.
DTro
I would say the best fishing will be from 8-noon.Looking forward to seeing you all there.

maddowg1192000
So am I going to be able to find fatheads or shiners in the st cloud area before i come down?
harvey lee
You could also buy some suckers and cut them up in pieces for cut bait also.
maddowg1192000
where?
Tippman
I wouldn't count on finding any shiners around here then. You might get some fatheads. Best bet would probably be the baitshop right in Richmond. Cut up smelt work well too because they are more oily, and you can get them at many grocery stores.
