FM / Ice Leader HATS

Recommended Posts

Not sure where to post this - so starting out here. I really want to get an Ice Leader hat - but - The photos and descriptions are not real good on the gear page. The enlarge photo doesn't work, and the kind of hat itself needs a better description. My .02 - we really need a better gear page for ordering logo clothing.

I'll stop by Fast Tracks if and when I'm up by their store to get a btter look, but that is kind of a pain in the ---.

I love this site and would be pround to show off a new hat or 2. But I need to see more of what I am buying.

Which one are you thinking about?

There are several of the baseball type caps with larger photos. But I agree that the photos of the Stocking caps are pretty small. I have several including the Ice Leaders stocking cap and they are nice. Did you check out this page?

FM Logo Caps

You can also give Fast Track a call. They may be able to email you additional pics if they have some on hand.

I'm thinking of the blue Ice Leaders baseball cap with the white on the brim. My main question is is it a high profile front hat or more of a short profile hat ( soft no form to the front like traditional baseball caps )I can kind of tell by the pic but a verbal description would be good. And looking at the white Ice Leaders stocking cap.

I was also just addressing the general fact of a better product page, I think this could be improved upon and then will become more productive. Logo wear can be a huge revenue area if done correctly.

Just my thoughts smile.gif

Ice Leaders hat like this one?

This is the same style cap as the tan/green HSO cap many of us have just ordered. The hat doesn't have a "soft" front but its not very rigid either. Its a nice cap, fits well, and holds a real nice curve! wink.gif

With Fast Track Embroidery, you can get the FM Logo, Ice Leaders Logo, or HSO Logo on any style or color hat you wish. You can also get your name, user name, or whatever embroidered on the side or back of the cap as well. Its a pretty custom deal.

I picked up a couple of baseball style caps after work today, at FastTrack Embroidery. The folks there are easy to work with, and the hats look great.I called in the order recently, and they called back to let me know when it was done.Nice job,FastTrack. Ordering some headwear is a great way to 'show the colors' of this forum.

I here yeah! I just purchased a bunch of hats for my shop as christmas gifts. My main concern was the disciption of the profile and the clasp, velcroc, buckle or what ever for holding size. I had to make sure they were NOT the larger profile ones as they look, and feel bulky. IMO. I too am looking at them, as the old one needs replacing. I don't want a bulky hat that the size does not hold.

  • we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators

We don't have any high profile hats you can purchase online. They're all pretty much the same profile as hanson's

I purchased an awesome Ice Leaders hat from the company that makes them in Brooklyn Park. Mine is Black with the red "swoosh" with Ice Leaders in red as well. If you call the company instead of ordering online, I am sure you could request that your screen name be embroidered on the back for a couple extra bucks.

You sure can. Call up the folks at FastTrack, tell them you are interested in a particular hat style, particular color, particular logo on the front, and that you want your name on the left side, right side, or on the back. You can choose what color thread you want your name embroidered with as well, font style, etc. Its probably a buck or two more.

    • Truly sorry to hear that duffman! I know that feeling.  Keep the good memories
    • Chamois passed away this weekend a couple days short of her 13th bday. What a great dog to hang out with here at home and on distant adventures. Gonna miss ya big time my little big girl.
    • Sounds pretty sweet, alright. I will check them out, thanks.
    • If you really want to treat your wife (and yourself) with a remote operated trolling motor, the Minn Kota Ulterra is about easy as it gets.  Auto stow and deploy is pretty awesome.  You just have to turn the motor on when you go out and that the last time you have to touch it.   24V 80lb.  60 inch shaft is probably the right length for your boat.  They ain’t cheap - about $3k - but neither one of you would have to leave your seat to use it all day.
    • Wanderer, thanks for your reply. I do intend for it to be 24 volt, with a thrust of 70-80. Spot lock is a must (my wife is looking forward to not being the anchor person any more).  With my old boat we did quite a lot of pulling shad raps and hot n tots, using the trolling motor. Unlikely that we will fish in whitecaps, did plenty of that when I was younger. I also need a wireless remote, not going back to a foot pedal. We do a fair amount of bobber fishing. I don't think I will bother with a depth finder on the trolling motor. I am leaning toward moving my Garmin depth finder from my old boat to the new one, just because I am so used to it and it works well for me. I am 70 years old and kinda set in my ways...
    • Dang, new content and now answers.   First, congrats on the new boat!   My recommendation is to get the most thrust you can in 24V, assuming a boat that size isn’t running 36V.  80 might be tops?  I’m partial to MinnKota.     How do you plan to use the trolling motor is an important question too.     All weather or just nice weather?   Casting a lot or bait dragging?   Bobber or panfish fishing?   Spot lock?  Networked with depth finders?  What brand of depth finders?
    • We have bought a new boat, which we will be picking up this spring. It is an Alumacraft Competitor 165 sport with a 90 horse Yamaha motor. I will be buying and installing a trolling motor,  wondering if I can get some recommendations on what pound thrust I will want for this boat?  Also, I will be selling my old boat, is there a good way to determine the value on an older boat ( mid-80's with a 75 horse 2-stroke  Mariner motor)  I will appreciate any help with these questions.
