Fish of a lifetime!..........again

Sweet fish man! I would love to get into something half that size just once! I have been out a few times targeting the flats but haven't even had so much as a bite. I have seen only one true flathead bite in the times I have been out.

It was a little on the chilly side yesterday afternoon.

The ice was honeycombing a little but still had enough to support us.

Funny thing is that we got that out of an 8" hole.

What a great fish Darren. Congrats! Both you and John seem to excell at getting your passengers onto big fish. You guys should just alternate passenger and captain, then none of us would have a chance.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. That's enough now, my head is getting too heavy to hold up.

The biggest problem is that I know there are plenty of bigger ones out there One would think that it would make it better catching a hog, but it makes it worse.

I saw that pic as well. But I don't think they got any measurements on it. One of his friends estimated it at 4ft long.

It was a big fish for sure. I'm sure it will be 58 or 60" as the story is passed along.
