Nick Kuhn
After pulling out the dock recently I found myself with a little bit of daylight left, but not enough to warrant trailering the boat over to the launch. Decided to throw the paddleboat in for a short time and do some "trolling" for anything big lurking in the lake. This guy decided to hit a 7" Believer. Didn't get an exact measure but I layed her down and she was longer than the paddleboat's seats are wide (so >20.5" by a little bit). The paddleboat made the P of CPR difficult though. The part of the bass that made it in the photo looks good and healthy, can't say much for everything else in the pic.

Central Bassman
Is that lake down that much or is that just what the rocks always look like. Looking at the rocks in the background it make is look like the lake is down alot
lookincalifornia
CB,the lake is way down. something like 50% capacity. all the best cover was twenty feet over my head. that usually alows me to find a crankbait or two, but not this day. we need rain and snow runoff this spring. lookincalifornia
i'm fishin from shore in the winter in a crystal clear lake. not to mention no vegitation at all. it took me a while to figure anything out, but it takes long casts, these fish spook easily. did you see the classic yearbook when they went to mead for the fisrt classic? i fish alot like bobby murray did, so that was reassuring to me. can't wait for pre-spawn should only be a couple of months for me. plan on fishing a couple delta tourneys this year! looking into a clear lake trip as well
Central Bassman
I did not see that classic! You will have fun fishing the tournaments!!! Did you look at the Flw series western?? They might have some tournaments you could fish as a co angler

polarsusd81
I think I know where that was caught Deitz. Here is the little piggy that I told you about down in Arkansas. Pulled in on a 4'-6" Ultra-light with 3 lb test. She bit a 2" baby senko in pumpkin, wacky rigged on a #6 Gamakatsu Octopus hook. What a fight in the trees. Tipped the scale at 7 lbs even. polarsusd81
I was able to fit both fists at one time in her mouth. The pic doesn't really do her justice, it was an awesome fish, I got the shakes after landing that one.
cableguy031
Can I post pics of my bass from my tank on to this POST? Is that against the rules meaning my bass has to be caught in the wild only?
cjac
When the tail looks like the handle of a canoe paddle....it's a hoss! I know from handling 'skis how pics can be deceiving. That pic is not, it's a beautiful fish!Congrats, Chris

Stratosman
Nice fish guys.... say Deitzer, I was fishing a lake near you for panfish (sight fishing) and saw quite a few nice bass...caught 3 around 2-3 lbs. Tried to target them solely but had a hard time keeping the panzers away. Even with a small jiggin spoon. Fun though.
