Decoy and crappie keith I'd be happy to fish with either one of you guys anytime. Thanks for the pictures. It gives us all more dreams to chase.

That's one of the reasons I make these posts.I'm all about sharing what we have up here.

Last winter I ran groups of guy's from 2-40 .I've had a blast helping others get better at this passion of mine.

Not to mention picking up a few tips along the way.

I'm a believer in that most outdoorsmen are solid upstanding gentlemen and sharing the outdor expierence with them will not only help our sport to grow ,but also gives me expierences I'll remember for a lifetime.

I know this pics does not have sunnies in it ,but you'll get the idea.

Having a year under my belt makes a difference on how I'm posting.

I also have a good mentor on one of my other sites. Having a good teacher has shortened my learning curve.

Taking the high road is a lot more fun than defending yourself and how I fish.

Catching and showing the fish is what it's all about &getting others excited to go out and fish.Which is the goal ,right?

so after battling the wind Mallard,Marc & myself did do some rearing.

I worked a few areas I thought I could find the gills in.No luck! Too cold i said to myself ,but we hung in there & we were paid off for the diligence.

On my first cast in this last area before I was going to advise we move to another lake.

MallardMarcfishinpics-19.jpg

Right on my heels was Mallard casting in the general area I had just pulled that beauty from.He goes fish on!

MallardMarcfishinpics-17.jpg

Then Marc not wanting to loose any ground on our fish was right behind with another one.

We had been beatin up by that wind for 2 hours so the spirits picked right up.

MallardMarcfishinpics-5.jpg

We did get a few greenies ,but for the most part we kept spankin blue bulls.

Marc was truelly having a ball with the light tackle.

MallardMarcfishinpics-2.jpg

I can't lie,I was too.

MallardMarcfishinpics-1.jpg

I tossed a few back that were 10 "and I think we ended keeping 18 or so.

MallardMarcfishinpics-8.jpg

Mallard is a fishing nut as I am.

He came up from the Mora area.

MallardMarcfishinpics-6.jpg

It was a little drive ,but he saw last weekend what quality gills we have up here.

It was a fun day wind beaten and all.

Going back with Cyberfish tommorow.

Well then here you go..

Twas a nasty super windy day with the pressure going nowhere ,but up.

We did manage to find several.

Nothing big ,but Cyberfish busted off twice on some big head shakers.

Alls I can say is the male crappies are just starting to get smokey so the super big bulls will be out a couple weeks yet.

Without further ado.

Rick & I went back to my honey hole.

It rained lightly all day & the humidity was up.

We both though just maybe the bigger fish would have moved back in today & you know what.

BINGO ,we were right.Sure the little guys were in too.

MallardMarcfishinpics-36.jpg

But so were the bigger fish.

I know we caught 80-100 fish in 3 hours.

MallardMarcfishinpics-34.jpg

We kept just about all males which were turning black.

We had the lake to ourselves and boy was it peacefull yet very exciting.

MallardMarcfishinpics-37.jpg

MallardMarcfishinpics-42.jpg

The blue & yellow was really drilling them.

MallardMarcfishinpics-43.jpg

The Drag-nMag nailed a few mules as well.

MallardMarcfishinpics-35.jpg

Here's Rick with a few.

MallardMarcfishinpics-38.jpg

Here's one happy fisherman.

It was such a joy not having gail force winds to deal with.

MallardMarcfishinpics-39.jpg

We kept a good meal for the both of us and let the rest go.

MallardMarcfishinpics-40.jpg

The geese were dumping in.The ospreys were fishing. There were mallards and woodies buzzing us.We saw 30 some deer on the way home & there were rabbits galore scooting around dodging us on the way out.

Nothing beats being in the middle of heaven.

I'm still pumped from the trip.

Go get em guy's.

That isn't a green, pumpkinseed, OR bluegill. We had this discussion a while back.. it's one of these. Hybrid. Someone said Warmouth but they have red eyes no? More like a rock bass?

Ok, I thought these were green sunfish too... I did some looking.

I did a google search and found a lot of info and pictures of them.

I guess I have never liked to clean them because they stink and their meat is a tad mushy in my opinion.

Here is a site with some good pictures and info.

Thanks for the great pictures.

Keith.. are you being serious? 200 fish? I know your not going to share your lake.. smile.gif.. but could you at least tell me what part of the state you are in? Is the a metro lake or something WAY out there with little pressure?

200 fish for 4 guys could be easily done in a couple of hours... Thats 50 fish roughly per guy.....

I think a group could easily do that on any given lake where you know what you're doing and the fish are biting....
