Big Dave2
Just wondering who are your favorite 3 drivers and why? With other sports it seems to be more clear cut as to why people pick a certain team to back. It could be the home team, or a previous home team or just a team with a history of winning. With Nascar there seems to be a larger number of factors that could influence the way people cheer. There is history, a drivers personality, family afiliations, sponsor, manufacturer, maybe even the color of the car.So list your favorite 3 drivers and give the reason why you chose these perticular drivers.I'll go first:1. Dale Jr.- I think it's a number of the above reasons, His dad, personality, and of course sponsor.2. Kasey Kahne - I am a big dodge guy and I adopted him as my favorite Dodge driver. 3. Matt Kenseth - I probably started following him because he was from wisconsinI used to be and would like to be a Tony Stewart fan just because of the whole Joe Gibbs thing but it seems like every time he opens his mouth all I hear is whining! PierBridge
Gordon J. Johnson J. Martin M. Gordon because just about everybody hates him....and he's had a few good years also. Johnson because he's a Hendrick Racer and he's currently the best in Game. Martin because he's a class act and driving a Hendrick powered car bumps him up to 3rd on my list. fishinchicks
Waltrip - when he was with DEI, he was pretty good. I like his kind of humor, it is the same as my dad's.Schrader - when he was sponsored by Schwan's was the best - we are in Schwan's territory here. That, and he came out here to race on a dirt track with the regulars. Pretty cool, I thought.Jeff Burton - he is my newest guy to cheer for. I like his ability, and his understated personality. That, and I don't hear him whining when something goes wrong.

Harmonica Bear
Nice to see Burton getting some props. He's been my guy for years. I still miss that Exide 99 paint scheme.1. J. Burton - patience, class, clean (as evident this weeekend)2. Smoke - for all the exact opposite reasons and he can just plain wheel it. NASCAR always needs a couple guys to get things riled up.3. Jr - cool cat.Honerable mention: Kenseth (Dewalt paint scheme, chedderhead, he can wheel it, too), Harvick (great humor, funny attitude, and he can drive), W. Burton (just becuase you gotta like Ward).

TNFL
Gordon--one of the most talented and intelligent drivers ever. proving it once again at bristol taking a car that sat on the pole but would not hug the bottom, nearly fell a lap down, but adjusted his driving and his car to get it back up to 3rd by the end of the race. PLUS, so many people are FLAT OUT JEALOUS of his skills it makes for good conversation. Oh, and he's not a hick. Kyle Busch--He's young and dumb, but he's got talent. Its alway fun to watch him drive or wreck cause most times he's just out of control. Kind of like Ricky Bobbby First or Last. Only he hasn't been first that much, yet. lawdog
1. Jeff Gordon (he's one of the best ever, he is my age and he consistently lands supermodels... He also drives a Chevy and is sponsored by Pepsi which is the Family business I grew up in.)2. Matt Kenseth (he should have stayed with a Chevy though!)3 (tied). Jimmie Johnson (may be the best out there right now)3 (tied). Jeff Burton (class act, clean driver and is back to top form).Jr. would probably be on this list too if so many of his fans weren't so darn obnoxious. The huge overhype turns me off to him.
