TNFL
Quote: #4???? If your talking about Adam Petty he had a lot of promise and was touted as the future of Petty. I think that loss really took the wind out of the petty sails.
PikeBayCommanche
I would have to say now that they would be JR, Mears, and Sorenson.
Iron Cowboy
its funny to look back now and see the excuses made for jr as his stuff being bad as the problem. I dont think you could convince some people of the truth even if you put jr in the 48 car and he still didnt win All of a sudden "that Chad Knaus doesnt know what hes doing" would be the most heard statement. It amazes me.
Neighbor_guy
Most overrated drivers????....????....Joey Lagano. Yea, I said it, "sliced bread" More like crusty wonder bread. You know he is over hyped when the driver himself has said many times that he is not ready to be in a cup car. I think they should have left him in the Nationwide (busch) car for a year or two more before bringing him up full time.JMHO.
Harmonica Bear
Mears has got to rank right up there. What excuse could he possibly have. I'm finiding it hard to beleive he will last the entire season.
metrojoe
I have to agree that Lagano is over rated, but most over rated...???? not sure about that. Montoya and Earnhardt probably make the list. There are a lot of drivers that could be placed in the "they are only as good as their equipment" category.
PikeBayCommanche
I would replace Mears with Allmendinger in a second but now Petty has him locked up.
SledNeck
If Kurt Busch was in a Gibbs car or a HMS car he would be dominating
fishingMN4eyes
I just want to echo those that have talked about Mears.....he is really really awful. Then again, no one in the RCR team has been that good. Burton, Harvick, and Bowyer have all had moments, but none of them are consistent. But as a Jr fan, I look no further than my favorite driver. He has been all sorts of disappointing over the past, what four years or so? He is slowly but surely becoming one of the most overrated drivers. spearchucker
The wind was gone long before Adam died, but I agree that it got worse after that.

fishing tech
Not a fan of any hendrik driver except Mark Martin.Jr. is the most over rated. If you listen to DW he is just having bad luck.
LMITOUT
My vote for the 2009 season goes to Moldy..errrr, Sliced Bread. Over-hyped and overrated coming into the season.
SledNeck
did anyone expect Logano to be in the top 10? I dont recall anyone saying he was going to be good this year, especially seeing tracks for the first time.
LMITOUT
No, but everyone thought he was the second coming or the next "wonder boy", yet he's struggling to stay above the cut-off line for qualifying each week. flop.

harvey lee
As much as I like Jr and understand that he cannot fill his fathers shoes or should he be expected too, he is not doing very well.I really try to believe this will change but I am losing faith faster every race.
