the Departed is the best movie of 2006 and Ive watched about 120 movies thus far this year.

I've got to agree, great movie. I've heard that it is a remake of an Asian movie which is supposed to be even better.

I tend to go to a lot of movies too. Usually pick one out that looks the best every week or two.

SawIII last week, decent I guess, but I wouldn't recommend it if you haven't at least seen the first.

Took the kids to Happy Feet last weekend - yep, it's another flippin' penguin movie. Started off alright, but the entire 2nd half of the movie was loaded with anti-human, pro-animal propaganda and took a left turn to liberal land. I walked out of the theater disgusted and wish we wouldn't have wasted our money.

It burns me that so many kids movies over the last 10-15 years have become propaganda tools for the antis. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TIME - Happy Feet was a big disappointment.

Been a while since anyone posted a new movie review on here, but thought I'd mention that my wife and I saw "The Persuit of Happyness" last night and it was AWESOME! 5 stars from me and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Very inspirational!

Another vote for Wild Hogs. We took advantage of the rainy day and a group of 10 of us went and saw it. I thought it was a very funny show.

We also rented The Pursuit of Happiness. I thought it was a great show, a little drawn out at times, but a reality check on how fortunate we are to be able to sit at a job or at a home, and spend countless hours on this site without having to worry about how we were going to feed our family and pay the bills.

It is a good movie and Will Smith did a fantastic job as usual.

I had a date with the wifey yesterday and we went to "300". It was a good movie and probably worth seeing in the theater. It is a bit gory for kids and has a ton of violence but the action and some special effects were great!

Good luck,

p.s.

The wife really enjoyed all the beefcakes.

I've heard mixed reviews on "Grindhouse" so it will have to be on my list of movies to rent.

We had a family outing to the Theater the other day to see "Shreck 3". It was a good movie for the family and I laughed the hardest listening to Brooke laugh! grin.gif Her laugh is contagious and it could be picked out amongst all the laughter.

Good luck,

I took Bailey to "The Simpsons Movie" tonight. I don't know how many people here have seen this movie but if you want to see a good cartoon in the theater than I would recommend this movie. There are a lot of funny parts and I laughed my butt off quite a few times. You have to know that I love stupid humor and a lot of people might not like the movie for that reason. If you are a Simpsons fan than I'd recommend seeing it.

Let me know if any of you have seen this movie. It'll be fun hearing what struck you as funny. One of my favorite scenes was the "animal" scene in the woods (I'll keep it short so I don't spoil anything grin.gif).

Good luck,

Corey Bechtold

"Live Free or Die Hard" was surprisingly good. All of the previews I saw looked terrible, but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought that guy from the Apple vs. PC commercials would ruin the movie, but he did a pretty good job. I'm a big fan of the original Die Hard movies, and I thought this was a worthy addition to the series.

I know the movie has been out for awhile, but seeing this post at the top again reminded me of the last movie I saw, and since no one else commented on it, I thought I would.

I took my kids to the simpson movie last night, I thought it was good. Towards the end I thought it was getting long, and was thinking its getting bored, but the kids liked it, and I thought it was a good laugh.

Irish...."UUUUUGHHH!" You had to say that...now I've got to see it! Rats, I may have to go by myself, my wife doesn't like going to the movies...it will take extreme effort for me to wait for it to show up on the shelves at the video store!

I was really disappointed by the simpsons movie. Now I remember why I quit watching the show.

The Best movie Ive watched in the last few weeks is Mr.Brooks, with Kevin Costner in it.

28 weeks later wasnt nearly as good as the first one.

Fracture, was a pretty good movie.

I thought Zodiac was a REALLY good movie.

Wild Hogs was funnier than I thought.

Live Free or Die Hard was okay...so far fetched its almost science fiction.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
