2006 Largemouth Goals?

Duffman

Recommended Posts

I would like to finally break 6lbs. Ive been really close but no cigar.

I dont know if its really a goal but I would like to apply what Ive learned this winter and become better at patterning bass. Also, force myself to fish new waters more often so I cant just do the milk runs on my home waters.

Nice fish! Did you get a measurement on that one? Are you fishing out of a canoe? I guess you don't need a big boat to catch big fish smile.gif I would like to break the 6lb or 22 inch mark. I have been close to both but haven't broken them. 5-12oz and 21.5(didn't have a scale)are my tops right now. Luckily my 5-12 was during a league event and I won money for the pig.

I'd like to get multiple fish over 20 inches. Off topic - Oh and Duffman, is there any kind of special mount for that trollng motor on the canoe or what? Ive never tried the trolling motor on the canoe before and plan to do so soon.

That was a great video and the picture below that one was excellent. I can't say I got some hawgs like that last year, biggest was 18" or 19".

I would be happy to catch multiple fish that size on a given a day or evening!

I think I'll have to go with so of you to get a 20 plus incher grin.gif

My goal is to stray away from shallow water come july, and start focusing on deep water bass! I've never really given it much of a chance, but I'm gonna force myself this year.

My second goal is to hit the 6 1/2 mark.

My goal is to catch one over 5lb. Caught 2 20in one was 4-1 postspawn fish and the other was 4-10. I'm also hoping to catch one on a jig.

Still chasing that Minnesota 6+. I don't understand, grow up bass fishing in SD and get Largemouths to 6.8 22.25". I move to Minnesota (I have more bass lakes within 20 miles now than I did within 200 in SD) and catch hordes of fish but only 1 over 5. In the two years I have lived here I go home every weekend before opener to chase eyes and bass. My biggest walleye the last 2 years has been in MN (I rarely target them) and my biggest largemouth has been in SD confused.gif. I guess that is why they call it fishing.

I am happy with last weekend's bass fishing though. Biggest were 19" 5lb 11oz and 20" 6lb 10oz

Metroguy99....

I just have 6" piece of 2"x2" screwed under my gunnel to attach the trolling motor to. I have it mounted behind the front seat, 'cause I tend to face backwards in the canoe when going solo, and then I use a paddle to steer with.

First Video Bass was 20 7/8" 6.0 lbs. Plastic Worm

Second Video Bass was 20 7/8" 5.8 lbs. Spinnerbait

Caught 9 days and 200 miles apart last October.

I'd gladly take two that size this year. I'm more proud of the second fish, in 17 yrs of fishing the cabin lake, this was by far my biggest.

The canoe will make it out a couple times this year, but I just got myself a boat. So my goals this year are to learn to fish for bass in deeper water on the high pressured metro lakes. More jig/pig fishing, and get as many days out on the water as possible.

my goal is unique but only by comparison. I want fish with excellents. I want to have all my ducks in a row and my equipment running in top shape. i have fished with a so-so attitude for to long and it sucks when you can't even do your hobbies right. So that is my goal to fish with excellence. ike
