I'm not kidding.

I have no respect for professional athletes who act in that manner. Have fun in Florida Daunte! You shouldn't have too hard a time finding a boat to charter down there. wink.gif

That is a pretty darn good.

Win a SuperBowl Ziggy and a a stadium will be yours!

No kidding the super bowl is ours now. It will help to have anyone else at quarterback. As long as they don't turn the ball over 4-6 time a game by themself. I have my doubts that he will even play again after the knee injury that he has and if he does he won't be very effective.

With Dante gone the the Vikes now get to base thier season on a 38 year old guy. He may have won a few games last season, but he is not going to go a full season and then who are we left with. I hope they use the money to bolster the front line and continue to improve on defense to give Johnson a chance, if that is who they end up with. No playoffs next or shot at the big prize in 2006-07. Come on Minnesota lets build the stadium so we have something to cheer about during the next 3 years.

dante wasn't going to be able to play this year anyways and with no decent free agent qbs out there it leaves them with brad johnson.....after the big 3 qbs in the draft there are still 3 other qbs that are worth a 2nd round pic.....pick up a young guy and train him for the future.....new owner, new coaches, new qb........brings new life to a stagnent viking team.

Brad Johnson will fit right into the new system, sort of a revamped "west coast". Like said above if the line doesnt protect him and the defense lets others score too much the Vikings will not fair well. The Vikings are not a high powered offense anymore like they were in the Randy Moss chuck and run days.

I hope we get a good college QB that Johnson can teach how to be a NFL QB. Lets face it Brad Johnson is a good NFL QB. Good years in Mn. and a Championship in Tampa. How many can say that?

Daunte isnt that bad guys... Who really is better than Daunte in the NFl??? Yeah, pretty much just P Manning, Mcnabb, Brett Farve... That's pretty much it at the moment.... Culpepper didnt have a good O line, plus Nate Burelson wasnt healthy and Koreen Robinson wasnt really there as well for him, like they were available for Brad Johnson.... VIkings once again made a dumb move, just like how they traded R Moss away..... At least VIkings made it to the playoffs the previous season before last season...

Dolphins got a good trade... Culpepper will bring Dolphins to the playoffs again.... Dolphins just needed a qb, they have everything else... Just look at their receiver and tight end..... Chris Chambers is very talented, Randy Mcmichael too... Ronnie Brown as a rb as well... Plus Dolphins d is solid as well.. ONe of the best defense against the pass in the nfl.... Like i said, once again, the Vikings s c r e w e d themselves....

both years 9-7 and backed into the playoffs the first year.....where is the difference.....If moss was the key how come the raiders still suck? offensive line might have caused daunte to have to hurry the throw a little sooner but he still threw all those int's himself...good qb's throw the ball away not give it away.....without a deep threat daunte is nothing....he can't read a defense.

Cullpepper's big threat was his ability to run, which over shadowed his turn overs. With his injury that threat may be gone and now he is liability unless he can sit in the pocket, make reads and throw an accurate ball, He has shown he has trouble doing that before he went down. Thanks for what ya did for us, but time to move on if we want to improve and go deeper into the post season.

IF Duante wa so great and his injuries were not that bad,you would have thought that every team in the NFL would have been after him. Then you would have gotten something for him.

How much can you get for a repaired fishing rod? : frown.gif

How much can you get for a hunting lab with bad hips? frown.gif

How much can you get for pepper? frown.giffrown.giffrown.gif

The answer is the same for all the above.

So where have you guys been the last couple years?! I have been a Dumbte (our nickname for him because he is the dumbest quarterback in the league) hater for about 3 years now. Even when he put up his "MVP" like numbers in 2004 I still didn't think he had a good year. Those are just stats, they are not everything. Everyone I talked to loved him until this year when all of a sudden everyone else started to not like him too. I could write a novel on this subject but basically I think he is probably the most athletically gifted quarterback in the league, but his smarts upstairs really hurt him. I almost cried when he signed that 10 year $100 million contract. I never thought we would get rid of him this quickly and I could not be happier. grin.gif

How can anyone say the Moss trade was bad at this point? He sucked last year, was hurt yet again and the raiders did nothing. We at least, have potential in Troy. Randy is getting longer in the tooth every year and his injuries are getting more common. And since he is soooo one dimensional, you will see him fall from glory faster than most. Same with DC, good riddance.

I would take Carson Palmer over Culpepper in a second....

I would really like to see the Vikes try and deal for Matt Schaub. This guy would be perfect in our West Coast Offense and is a young, accurate passer. The problem is Atlanta values him so much it would take a lot to aquire him.
