Those are not Bass boats, not even close

OK I take that back one of em is that yellow one looks like a Blazer or an Allison but doesn't look like its set up for fishing, that one that shoots up the middle is a rigged boat probably a blazer or an allison, the one with the hole shot is not a bass boat

Awesome! Makes me wish for open water and it's only December. Not sure I would want to travel at those speeds - fastest I've ever gone was a couple years ago in State B.A.S.S. Fed Tourney - partner had a Skeeter that he took up to 73 mph (on GPS unit) because we were cutting weigh-in VERY close. Single console too so got beat up by the wind pretty good.

Thanks for sharing the video clip.

I think I still get more of a rush running a set of challenging rapids in the RP.... 3" of water!! and boulders @ 15-40 mph.... But then again, I am a river rat too.... grin.gif

I used to fish with a bass club in TX that some of the guys were runnin super mod 2.5 l motors and claimed they did better than 100... Only ever rode in a ruig that did 80... admitedly scary! shocked.gif

Either way speed is a tru rush, especially on water.

I've seen it done before, my uncle owns a 19 ft glassport tunnel hull bass boat he got down in Kentucky. He bought a Mercury high performance 2.5 efi from my other uncle when he sold his drag boat and quit racing. When he was younger and more advereous he had gps speeds coming in well over 90 and his boat is fully rigged for fishing. Now with a wife and kid, the boat travels at much lower speeds. grin.gif

Ohh yeah... well my dad... LOL... blush.gifgrin.gif That was a pretty cool video. Actually my dad has gone much faster, but not in a boat like that. When I was younger my dad drove inboard dydroplanes(similar to the Miss Budweiser) So we were in a different state everyweekend on a different lake, where my love for fishing started. Anyway, I think my dads top speed was right around 140 if I remember right.

That's awesome video. I'll have to view that again as the ice is coming off the lakes. LOL I wonder what I can do to my 2.5 in the off season... smirk.gifsmile.gif

That one yellow bass boat with the 300 looked like the winner. Insane fast!

actually, the Bullet boat that goes ripping by him and one of the other background boats, both have trolling motors on the bow. The Yellow Allison is also a bass boat. We have two guys in our club that have 80+ mph boats--one is a Triton and the other is a Gambler. Mine topped out one time at 73 gps, but runs a consistent 63-65mph. Plenty fast enough for me.

Speed on the water is indeed a rush. One of my partners has a 21 foot Gambler and I have ridden in it at 86 and that was a serious trip. He can get 91 out of it by himself and all stripped out but 86 or 91 sure seems faster on the water. Thank the stars for that second console. Another friend has a Javelin that will run 70-72 all day but the lack of a second console does make it seem faster.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
