Hopefully, if we can get some wins out of green bay, Houston, and Cleveland, we'll be able to hear those sweet words....... " With the first pick in the 2006 NFL draft, the Minn. Vikings take".....

And believe it or not, I would love to see them take Matt Leinert from USC!!! Hopefully we could get some good players for Fumbles Culpepper.

Problem is, the Packers have the inside track on the Vikings for the Reggie Bush sweepstakes. Having already drafted Rodgers, I am assuming the Packers would go with Bushe even if Leinart were still available. I am not sure the Vikings would take Leinart either, as they have too much tied up in Culpepper. In any case, I am afraid two wins is already too much to beat the Texans out for the top pick--they look like a potential 0-16. The best we can hope for is that the Vikings will pass the Packers and get a shot at Bush.

I just want to know where all the people are who were posting a few weeks ago "Start Brad Johnson"!!! he looked good huh guys?! I don't

remember who made those ridiculous statements, but now you know better.... Brad is not good and nowhere near Culpeppers level...

Anyways, it didn't look to me like the Vikes played with any enthusiasm or toughness... our Defensive line and secondary looked lazy and sloppy and I guess the final score reflects all of that..

Game ball... Fred "shut down" Smoot?????????????

It just hit me that I am very close to cheering for the Packers to win a few games, so long as they win just one more than the Vikings do. I figure one or two more losses for the Vikings will push me over that edge. Not that I want the Vikings to take a dive--just so long as they pick ahead of the Packers. wink.gif

ESPN.com is reporting that Culpepper probably suffered a torn ACL today, and if so he is done for the season. Given Brad Johnson's lack of mobility, past problems with injuries, and the offensive line's inconsistent blocking, I predict we have two weeks before the Shaun Hill era begins in Minnesota. Since Vinnie Testaverde is already employed, I wonder if the Vikings still have Jeff George's phone number... crazy.gif

I think Reggie Bush is way overrated. You can get a running back any where. The pack needs an offensive line and anyone can run threw it. I like Bagers and Gophers running backs. Houston won today so theres hope for that first pick by the Pack. I would like to see them get Leinart. Looks like everyone else was right Rogers sucks. He can't hit an open man in practice.

speaking of draft picking...with the way minnesota had done in the past with draft picks, they might get the #1 pick, but wait it out until #2 and #2 are picked before they do...

Yes...it's that bad!! The whole coaching staff needs to go and start fresh. The Used car salesman did what he wanted....buy low, keep low budget, sell high. Here is the result...

Hopefully wilf will do that here when the season is done... I just hope he gets a bandaid or gauze on the bleeding...

I was one calling for Brad and still am. Lets see what happens when he gets a weeks worth of snaps with the first unit and does not start in the hole like today. Not to mention when you are that far down the d line has their ears back and are just shooting for the QB... I hope DC is not done for the season but I hope he does keep his eyes open and watch and learn. My biggest fear is that the team will just tank the season using DC as their final excuse..

Doesn't matter who's playing quarterback, the offensive line has to start blocking, I mean we have already given up a years worth of sacks. Johnson isn't the answer. Correcting stupid mental mistakes (penalties) should be high on the priority list too. The Vikes are a horrible team this year, thank God for the Saints and the Packers. Feels good to know our only two wins have come against the only two teams worse than the Vikes. confused.gif

I like Johnson but he is on the very tail end of his career.

With that line it will be interesting to see how long Johnson will last. Given how things looked yesterday, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make it past the Giants game. Hill might be starting by time they play Green Bay on Monday night. What a game that will be a 1-8 team playing a 2-7.

This is funny. I read the first post on the thread and thought it was odd a Lions fan was posting it, about yesterday's game. Must be nice to be a Vikings fan. Wanna trade coaches?
