0 Northlander
I have some Toyo's and really like them. I will post the exact name and numbers later.
0 PierBridge
Heard good things about the Toyo's.Another option is BFG's TA's.
0 hanson
BFG All-Terrains I love them tires!!! They work a heck of a lot better in the snow, ice, mud, muck, and at an inclined boat launch than they do on the highway. But the highway ride is not that bad either. Its a trade off no doubt. 0 BIG DS
BFG All Terrain T/A KO is the best all terrain tire on the market right now. It is a relatively aggressive tire but is still incredibly smooth and quiet riding. The tire comes with the extreme snow rating from the RMA. If you buy a set of 4 BFG gives you 2 years of what they call Adventure Assurance. Which is a 1-800 number you can call if you get stuck 24-7. They will pay up to $60 of the tow bill. 315/70R17=$249.85 each and 285/70R17=$235.75 each. See you local T3 BFG Goodrich dealer. Remember, if Sears or Sam's club/Walmart sells it, it is not the same quality tire as you are going to get from a dealer. I learned that the hardway. 0 crappace
I have the bfg at ko 17" 285s on my 03 dodge. They are great tires all around. they will however get me and my 17ft shack places that are really, really hard to get out of once stuck. its rare I cant get out w/o a shovel but from time to time the shovels get some work too. I spent $200 each for mine, shops will bid against each other for your business. Good luck.
0 Powerstroke
If you want to save money over the over-priced BFG's then you should check out the Pro Comp AT tires. They are very good and Pro COmp frequently has sales for buy 3 get 1 free. CHeck out 4wheelparts.com
0 Gus
Yokohoma Geolander AT'sLove mine and a very good price too. Mine are 16" rims but I wouldn't think that would make much difference in the tire other than price.check them out at one of the online tire shops. I had mine shipped to my door for $424. LT265 75 16's and they are load range D. I had the local tech school mount and balance them for free. So far I have had them on 1 year and they have been absolutly the best truck Tire I've owned. 0 311Hemi
I am another BFG AT KO guy. I have them on my 03 RAM also. I am running 315/70/17's and they are a great tire. I was able to get out of everything I got myself into last winter....and there was some deep snow at places. I have had them on my past 3 vehicals (currently the Dodge, the Jeep Wrangler I had, and the lifted 85' Chevy I had before that). Don't think I will ever buy a different tire unless I want more of a lower profile look, then I would buy an 18" Nitto AT. I was the only truck out of 3 to make it up the hill which is steep. One of the othe trucks had standard road tires that came with the truck, and the other had some off brand AT's that were somewhat worn down and needed to be replaced. He had a really tough time moving around.
0 minneman
311, did you lift yours to get the 315's on, or just adjust the torsion bars? Ive got an 03 2500 quad, and seems there is more room than the 1500...? id like to go 315's but dont want to lift. got a close up pic? thanks
0 Powerstroke
They should fit just fine without a lift, but if you're concerned about fitting 35's you can still get the 305/70/17 and they are 33-34" tires and will be just as good. About the same width but an inch or so shorter.
0 caseymcq
I just wanted to put another plug in for the BFG's. I have had them on big and small trucks and they have by far been the best tires. They have extremely tough sidewalls. The Pro-Comps are alright tires. If you don't get them durring the Buy 3 get 1 Free promo they are more expensive than BFG's. 0 311Hemi
minneman....I just adjusted the torsion bars a little...but not too much as I wanted to keep the stock ride quality. It has settled a little since I adjusted them and I get a small amount of rub at full turn....but thats because I have mud flap installed. I would think you should be able to fit the 315/70/17's on a 2500 without a lift but I am not 100% sure. If not you if you would need 2" spacers installed in the front (which is not a huge deal). If I had a 2500 (which I really wish I had) I would install the 2" spacers that go on top of the springs and then put on the 315's. If you go to Dodge Truck World you could find all the details you need and what it takes. Email me at [email protected] and I can send you some closerbigger pics. 0 Whoaru99
Not sure what sizes there are but the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo is top notch all-around performance. I have some Michelin LTX A/T that are very good for grip in all but the worst conditions. If you can get by with very good instead of excellent, the darn things will just about last forever, or so it seems. I've lost track of how many miles I have on them, but I'm thinking it's around 70-75,000 and there is still nearly half the tread left. I'll bet they go 100,000 easy... NO KIDDING!!! This is on a 1994 Chev K-1500 Ext Cab. Oh, and I bought them at Sam's Club. Seriously.
