DTro
Quote:Dealing drugs, rape, murder. Are you seriouse?? What do those things have to do with the Vikings?? Or Loving to watch footbal?? let me save you a reply. You say "Onterio Smith". There are bad poeple everywhere, not just in profesional sports. I was making a point. What is your threshold? Do you have one? Or, will you still be backing these guys when they are on trial or even in jail? Do you realize the FBI is now involved? It is what it is. You choose to support these thugs, I don't. This has nothing to do with football. When Zygi cleans house and at least attempts to give these guys an attitude adjustment, that is when I might consider watching them again. Call me bandwagon or whatever, but the reality is that there is a difference between a 1-4 team that is trying to win (Packers) and a 1-4 team that has given up. That's my last word on it as even the couple of minutes I spend typing is a waste. Oh, by the way, I'm sure you'd be singing a different tune if your 17yr old daughter was working on that boat. eyepatrol
I'm with you too, dtro.I cannot support a team who spends their time off screwing around doing the things they did. And to spend my hard earned money supporting the team is just as bad because it essentially goes towards paying for that kind of behavior (being the fans money goes to the team which goes to the players which gets spent by the players). And, since I do not support this type of behavior, I'm not going to contribute my money towards the team, if this is how they (even if it's not the whole team) decide to spend my money. It's an embarrassment to me, and it should be an embarrassment to the state. To continue to show support to the team at this point (in my mind) is to continue to support that type of behavior. In my opinion, the fans need to make a statement to the team and it's owner and that statement is to not attend games, not buy jerseys or other team sponsored products. It's one thing to support a team that is clean, tries their best to win, and has a losing record. It's another thing to support a team that doesn't put forth any of these efforts 100%. And, to be a professional sports althlete doesn't mean you aren't professional just on the field, you're professional off the field. Same goes for any other profession. Just because you're not in the office at work, doesn't mean you're not a professional. One should act as a professional at work or away from work. It's what you are, no matter where you're at. Now sure, it's nice to unwind and cut loose at times, but do it in the confines of your or someone elses house. But when a person does unwind, keep it civil and respectable. Sure it's nice to have a few cold ones, but alchohol shouldn't be a necessary means of having fun. If a person needs alcohol to have fun, then they have a problem.Anyway, I won't be supporting this team until they clean house. For me, it is morally wrong to support them at this time. And, even though there are 33 other guys (or so) who weren't involved, this is a situation where there was enough to blame the entire organization. If I was one of those who was not involved, then I would just grit my teeth and bare it, because in your heart and in your mind, you know what the truth is.Anyway, that's my take. 'nuff said. Bobby Bass
My understanding is that not even Vegas is posting an over and under on this game as no one has an idea who will be playing. Odds makers are worried that at any time the Vikings may suspend players. As for me I see the Packers lighting up the Vikes.... 14-3 I am just looking for some calm waters to be out fishing for a few hours as the days are not getting any warmer...I'll have to check back here to see what happens at the game. Willy
The only part of the game I want to watch is the very start when those losers get booed off the field!
BIG ISLAND DUDE
Is there really not a single person on this web site that is going to cheer for the vikings this season?? Am I the only one??

fishyguy
I will also be cheering on the Vikes but I am not going to forget what they did or write it off. I will be cheering for my state, hometown, and the players who aren't involved in this kind of dump. You won't see me wearing a jersey of any players involved. I won't have the same passion as it is hard to ignore what is going on but at the same time, there was a whole lot more people in that organization not involved in the scandal and at least trying to do things the right way (albeit not very well)than there are losers who just don't get it. Willy
Buzz, LOL! I still want the Vikes to win, but after the talk they pulled, they are hard to cheer for. More than anything is the way they play that is hard to cheer for. It's one thing for them to give it all they have and come up short, but these guys give little effort + they are a bunch of thugs. Hard for anyone to ignore that. Purple pansies!
fishpepin
What a wonderful set of morales you 3 have. I am glad that you are all Holy enough to determine that anyone who attends the Vikings game is immoral. While I do not condone their actions, I find it difficult to castigate the entire Minnesota Vikings organization. I am sure you check out all employees of all businesses that you partonize to make sure they all live up to your impeccable standards, right? Of course not! What did Ziggy Wilf do wrong? Had this been 50 US Postal employees would you refuse all services of the US Post Office? Of course not! I certianly understand the disgust you may have, but don't judge the morals of others over it! BIG ISLAND DUDE
No, I wasnt on that boat but I heard that yo........was..... My reponse to that would probably get me kicked off this web site so I wont say it. I think that we all have much bigger things to worry about, then what some pro athletes did or didnt do or how some petty football game turns out, but I will cheer for the vikes on sunday because its fun to do so. Just as many of us will go hunting or fishing and as we all know there are poeple who would wrongly critisize our morales for doing that. Quote: My reponse to that would probably get me kicked off this web site so I wont say it. Oh just go ahead and say it, were all dying to hear! REALLY Quote: I am sure you check out all employees of all businesses that you partonize to make sure they all live up to your impeccable standards, right? Of course not! My answer would be, if it was was your daughter that was on the boat and a player asked her to dance for him for a $100.00 and had to witness sexual activities you'd care more and defend less. I recommend that you pick up todays Star Tribune and read the article by Nick Coleman... it's in the Twin Cities section. Bottom line is that we all are entitled to our opinions no matter how out of wack they may seem to others. I AM a fan of the Vikings, only now a more tarnished fan. I am also sitting in section 117, row 30 for this weekends game against the Packers..... the Tickets were free and my wife and I already had a babysitter lined up.... would I rather be duck hunting or fishing for Muskies??? He!! yes! Were are you two diehards sitting for the game?? your couch I assume.
nbdyknws
I am still cheering for the Vikes. If they get up on the Packers it will be one fun game to watch. The Vikes are just the hardest team to watch when losing, but one of the funnest teams when winning. So take the bad with the good and I will be cheering until the bad Culpepper shows up then I switch to another game and wish that qb was ours for the week. MT Net
I'll say the Pac will walk all over the Vikes. Don't really care, though, I'll still be out perch fishing on Mille Lacs during the kickoff. Just can't justify sitting inside on a nice autum afternoon. hawg_wobbler
hahaha! My God, the vikes look as bad as last week. It's over for the floating purple turd! buzzsaw
All I have to say is Thanks Dietz! It's not often that I guess a final score right on the nose!! I also would like to thank Ziggy Wilfs family for having a few of his business partners take me and my wife and a few others out in their Hawker 800 leer jet last night!! We went up to my wifes old college town of St. Cloud (15 minute flight) and had a nice dinner at Granite City! He is a classy guy that will get this team fixed! I cannot say it enough! He does not tolerate losing or the debauchery that has taken place and he will make this organization top notch! We had a great time at the game today and hope they have this thing turned around... although I'm not so certain of that. I figured I should post a few pictures so the naysayers don't call talk on me. Me and my wife The crew! A few pictures from the jet, one of them over Bald eagle lake area. Then this was waiting for us at St. Cloud airport, an excursion limo! Today at the game..... Not a bad weekend, oh and I went fishing Saturday morning and got into a bunch of Northern Pike.
