SteveWilson
An MI sure does play havoc on your emotions. Just remember that prognosis is fairly good if you survive the initial attack. I had mine in my sleep (didn't notice it at the time) and only found out that I had one a week later. The recovery therapy is great though and I'm actually enjoying my time on the treadmill everyday. cluelessfisherman
Thanks everyone - you don't know how much this is appreciated.I am writing from the Hospital in Fargo. Dad was life flighted here yesterday morning after having two more attacks during the night Saturday night. Right now he is having the cardio angioplasty done where they check to see where the blockage or narrowing arteties/veins are on the heart and also to see what damage may have been done during the attacks. They will put in stints if necessary during that procedure. Hopefully additional surgeries won't be needed, but they will know after this is done what more action will be needed if any. So we are anxiously awaiting the doctors word on that.He is pretty scared - I'm trying my best to stay strong for him and my mom. I keep telling him to let the Doctors take care of him so he can get back on the water and get some revenge on the walleyes. I also get a rise out of him when I tell him he needs to stick around for a while longer to get back at social security (he just turned 62 and starts getting that back now)As a Lutheran pastor, he is used to being the one doing the praying and isn't used to being on the receiving end of the prayers...Thanks again,Ethan
Bushwacker
Sorry about the news. It had to be one of the your worst experiences ever. The good news is that it will make you realize that you shouldn't take any time spent together for granted. One of my partners at work (74 years old) had a heart attack two years ago and now he is healthier than he has been for years. So there can be some positives out of this ordeal. My prayers are with him for his speedy recovery.

He mowed his whole yard Sat and then went out later. Has never felt better he says. I have also heard that Fargo is rated higher than the Mayo for heart work. We're thinking about you. Northlander
I hope it all works out for your dad. Lots of people who have had heartattacks go on to lead long normal lives with a bit of Medications, good diet and exercise. I hope he gets well quickly!
