To be fair, he had a good run. And although he gave up 11 hits, he only allowed 3 earned runs. But like buzzsaw said, back to reality. I think what is happening, or going to happen more with him is that pitchers who are dominating get extra attention from scouts/players and their tendancies/weaknesses are revealed more. Unless they have an unhittable pitch like Santana's change-up, they will be hit more. How they adjust to the hitters determines their success. The other fact that will push Judy's ERA and losses up is his inability to get that much needed strikeout when needed. That is what separates the good from the great. It also doesn't help him either that Chicago is hitting like .255 as a team. I will admit he has a very lively fastball and good control of all his pitches. I still think that Santana will finish with better numbers and repeat as the Cy Young winner.

Let me know when your "stud" the Great Johan catches up to Mr. Garland in wins this year, should be around November or so. What does he have, about half the wins of Garland? I'm sure he will be a peaceful observer at the All Star game while he watches Garland and Buehrle pitch the first six innings.

my moneys on santana to win more than garland this year, remeber its a 162 game season. the sox always start fast, then lose it. frank thomas is about ready to come back, thats enough bad luck right there to lose the division.

This kind of makes it sound like you don't have much faith in your Sox playing much in October... confused.gifgrin.gif

I wouldn't be suprised to see Judy lose 8 in a row.

Windy all your doing is trying to ride a short surge by the sox, if all the sox did was play till may then maybe you can talk. But its the whole year and in the end you WILL see the Twins in first place in their division.

and the beat goes on...............

Garland (8-2) was denied becoming the first nine-game winner in the majors, allowing a season-high seven runs and nine hits in six innings. It was his second straight loss.

Hey Buzz,

Do you happen to have the pitching stats on Halladay. I think he pitched today, don't know how he did, but he was facing a "murderers row" of hitters. They probably knocked him out in the 4th inning with about 7 runs, you think? Once again, no ground lost, one more game in the books in first place and the soon to be 8 game winner pitching tomorrow. YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES!

Just when I was beginning to think this was a John Garland thread, the walleye err bullhead slayer pops up with a brilliant attempt to jar Twins fans... I don't have a problem losing to the 2003 Cy Young award winner and taking two out of three games on the raod against a hot Toronto team that just swept the Red Sox... you should just be happy that one game against Texas got rained out or you would have been swept three straight games... instead you got swept in two! Heres some info on your boy... go start a new thread..

(2003)In a lopsided Cy Young victory, Halladay received 26 first-place votes and two seconds for 136 points in balloting by the Baseball Writers' Association of America.

Again with the History lesson,

When is lunch? How bout a game of mumbly peg at recess?

Sox Win Again, The Big Hurt is Back. Buehrle pitched another gem, 8.1 innings with 1 earned run. And the Twinks are back by 4 again, soon to be much more. I predict they will be back by 9 games at the end of June. Buzz you have to live in the present, the past can doesn't count. As Paul McCartney said, "Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away. Now it looks as though they're here to stay.

one note to you windy, the twins have the same record currently as they did last year at this time in the season. Your leads mean nothing, and never will come post-season.
