You guys think thats tough, try having finals all week. Trying to study all day long with fishing on your mind isn't easy. This is gonna be the longest week of my life. But at least least I have the opener to look forward to.

Try having to work all week and then knowing that you also have to work on OPENER. This will be the 1st Opener I'll miss since moving to MN, in 1988. I have a Part time job and being a part timer means you're the low man on the totem pole list of days off.

I have been fishing every day and catching some nice fish.. and I still await the opener.. I cant figure that one out.

Maybe its just the option to chase other species of fish and actually have a fish fry on occasion.. not just panfish or catfish(from where I would keep them).

i just moved from the cities in feb. back to Sioux Falls, SD.

I am still addicted to this site and visit several times a day just to see whats happening at all my favorite spots its my only cure for not actually being there.

Although now considered an out of stater, I will be making a trip up north this weekend, hopefully sneaking out of the office a little early on friday just to make a very long drive that will seem to take forever.

Maybe the week after the opener will be better. Some openers are lousey, think of it that way. I am moving my daughter the opener and the going out Sunday evening on Island Lake (N of Duluth). We will see.....

Tell me about it! I had meetings up until 2:00pm, so today was shot for getting any work done. Thursday I've decided that I'll pretty much go through checklists for the weekend, do any office keeping things and prepare for my day off Friday. Come Friday, I'll be on my way to my opener destination knowing there will be plenty of work stated on the desk when I get back.

Man...Friday can't come fast enough! I have to fly to San Francisco each week for this project I am on. I am just praying nothing major goes wrong this week. I had to miss opening of deer hunting because of work, so there is no way I am missing the fishing opener. Just get me on that plane Thursday night and back to Minnesota!

With one weekend off a month, It don't leave much chance that that weekend will fall on any special holiday, such as waterfowl opener, deer hunting, small game opener, fishing opener, on the up side, not too many people take those weekends off, so I get them.
