Duck-o-holic
So what are all of you fowlers doing to kill time until Early Goose and Duck openers??? I've got plans to repaint a couple duck boats, and repaint dekes and a new motor this summer. Those will be the projects to keep my mind on duck hunting at least. A lot of fishing will be done too, but there's always something sentimental about getting ready for duck hunting... even when it's 85 degrees and sunny out! jblabsnduck
Fixing my blind that goes on my boat(home made) Took it off and a few of the screws came out and then it all went to hell. Time to fix it. Also will be getting a trailer for all my fullbodies and converting it to an enclosed trailer. Working my two dogs in between now and opener. Slaying some fish
mr wizard
Just got done doing the spring clean up on the pond we shoot on. Talk about shot cups! The landowner sure likes to see us out there in the spring doing some "work". Also will be adding to the decoy spread and painting the old ones, work with the dog, shoot some trap, patch the pintail, build some portable field blinds, pick bagfulls of morels, catch some fish! Hardly enough time before early goose time!
Eric Wettschreck
I most definately have to get offa my butt and build or buy a blind for my little boat. I've had too many birds flare off cuz off poor concealment on my part and my boats.
Sartell Angler
each year we usually undertake a few projects...last year, we converted an old utility trailer into an enclosed decoy trailer. This year we plan on building a new blind for our boat (old one is falling apart) and also fixing up an aluminum canoe we found (getting gashes welded, re-painting)...should be all set for duck decoys, but we might purchase a few more goose silos or perhaps full bodies.Plenty to keep us busy aside from thinking about hunting...baseball games 3 nights/ week at least, fishing as much as possible, partying like a rockstar, trips to my friends cabins, makin' $, taking a summer class...summer should be awesome, but I am really looking forward to dove season/ early goose...and then it just gets better and better after that!SA/wdw

fishingmike0770
Stopping on the side of the road to look at big green heads or awesome woodies. Took a couple pictures from a local lake and i love to look at them. Just watching them land makes my blood pump!Hopefully gonna repaint the inside of my boat a new base coat because the old one is peeling and revealing the shiny aluminum. Repaint some dekes so that white and bright colors really stand out for the ducks to see.

Well fishing of course Started reloading steel shot, so I'm doin a lot of that and patterning dozens of different load/choke combinations to find the right recipe for every situation. I built a foam core layout boat this winter. Will be doin blind work on my boat as well this summer. And one of my favorite things to do in the summer-Preseason scouting, ya know checkin out new areas and such. Did I mention fishing?

I'll be rakin', cleanin' the deck, mowing the yard, cleaning the basement and the garage, fixin' and washin' up dekes, washin' up guns, be nice to the younger bro , scouting for birds, and pretty much more rakin'. Oh, and takin' care of the new puppy !
Rost
I am a "Jack of All Trades, Master of None". During hunting season, it's ducks, geese, bow hunting, rifle hunting, ocassionally pheasants, then it's a toss up between ice fishing and coyote hunting, meanwhile, I am preparing for the open water season, open water season I usually fish a few tourneys along with several outings. Come July-August I am starting to scout for deer stand spots. Then it's time to start looking for early goose fields. My wife calls it the vicious cycle I call it 10 ways to wind up broke!
