hanson
Looking for a map of your favorite lake?? I invite you to take a look at Lakemaster maps. Lakemaster carries the good ol' fashioned waterproof paper maps for many popular lakes, yet the difference is in the detail. Some of the Lakemaster surveyed lakes have incredible detail down to 1' contours. Coupled with your GPS, there are no secret spots left on these lakes. Gull Lake Chain, Lake of the Woods, Mille Lacs Lake, Lake Vermilion, Lake Winnibigoshish, Otter Tail Lake, and Devil's Lake ND are all currently available in paper map form with 1' contours. I picked up a Lakemaster Lake Winnibigoshish Pro Map for my trip up to Lake Winni for the first event of the I.C.E. Series this winter. The map, coupled with my very simple Garmin GPS, directed me out to the many humps around Center Bar where I proceeded to catch a nice basket of Perch and take 2nd place in the event behind one rather large eelpout. This was my first time ever fishing Winni and having this map paid off big and made me feel more comfortable on the lake. I've also used the Devil's Lake map, and new for this year Lake of the Woods map, and they are both awesome. I invite you all to try a new body of water this summer and pick up a Lakemaster map to help out your learning curve on that particular lake. Oh yeah, if you prefer your maps on the computer, Lakemaster's Mapsource CD-ROM will fit the bill. Downloadable lake maps to your GPS you ask?? They have that covered too. Paul Waldowski
Chris, I couldn't agree more. They have some sweet maps whether it is on paper or computer, the Promap series are the way to go. New for this year is the MMC Chip for Lowrance. All of the Lakemaster Promap lakes on a chip for your GPS for under $100 I was using it on Pool 4 the other day and it had all of the wing dams marked perfectly along with all of the depths. I will be running this chip all summer in my 330C on the boat. Come winter I will pop it into the I-Finder and run it on my sled. Can't wait to try it out on the ice and save me some time drilling holes You can find out more about this chip by clicking here
ChuckN
I have some paper LakeMaster Maps and they are incredible detail, and the structure is right on the money when it comes to finding spots on the GPS. When I update my sonar I will likely get my hands on the MMC chip!
Gissert
I have the Ottertail 3 foot map upgrade on my PC, and used it some this winter on Ottertail. Some of my old favorite spots that were not marked on other maps are now there for all to see. There are also gobs and gobs of small bottom features that I had no clue were even there before. I also bought the paper map of LOW, and I eyeballed a few spots I wanted to try fishing the NW Angle with a ruler and some simple math. I then entered the waypoints manually into my old battered Garmin GPS III plus. This worked very well, and got me onto the spots I wanted to try with excellent accuracy. I cannot say enough about the detail of these maps. Well done!

Borch
I have one of the paper maps of the Gull Lake Chain. The detail is incredible. Spots they missed are few to none. If your hitting a lake for the first time(or any time for that manner)is an invaluable tool. Borch
ScoutII
Wish they had this earlier, upgraded to the i-finderH2O just to read these MMC cards.
leechlake
I agree the maps are perfect but the customer service is great also. I needed a code to transfer to another computer and I called...a person answered and helped me out quickly. That's the way it should be but as we all know it isn't the way it usually happens
carlcmc
these maps are the same ones included on the navionics premium chip. I believe that navionics purchased them and included them on their chip.
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted April 22, 2005 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted April 22, 2005 Navionics is not the same. They have only 35 of last years ProMaps on theirs. The New one we are talking about has 58 top ProMap lakes on it. BDR
Well I just got my new H2O loaded with the lakemaster chip and it looks unbelievable. It blows me away how far the mapping has come. Previously I was using a global map 100 from '97. Now not only can I find that small flat or reef but I can go staight to that small inside turn on the NW side. It almost seem unfair. I can't wait to get out this weekend and put it top some real action.
Not Sayin Im Just Sayin
Does anyone know if/when the Lake of the Woods MMC chip will include Canada? Is this the one to get?? [Yes it is] Code: A610-MMC ProMap Series Lake of the Woods MMC Chip Includes ProMap Series Maps: Lake of the Woods - Minnesota. 3' Contours. Exceptionally HIGH Detail Derived From ON-WATER SONAR/GPS Survey Price: $99.00 Is it worth it without Canada? We usually fish about equal US and Canada. Thanks. [if you want the structural details for US waters - yes]
ChuckN
It does not include Canada waters. Excellent map for the U.S. side, worth every penny in my opinion.
Northlander
Wich one do I get if I want Lake Superior and the waters surounding Duluth/Superior? ( St. Louis River of course ) I realize it wont be all of Lake Superior but I would like to get as much as I currently have on my Navionics chip. Is there such a animal? dockehr
If they are at the I-CAST National Fishing Tackle Show in Vegas next week I can ask them at that time. In the past, when I have stopped by and chatted, the decision on what lakes to survey is driven by the anticipated return on the investment (in time and money )to map a body of water. Hope this helps. dockehr Dr. Roland E. Kehr, Jr. Lindy Tackle
