Passing of a legend.....

I would like to let everyone know that on Sunday morning we lost a local fishing legend.

Dennis Phelps, the originator of the Phelps Floater and many other great fishing products throughout the years passed away after a long bout with cancer.

Dennis and his boys Matt (MJP) and Mike (T-man) are great friends and some of the nicest people in the industry. Please think of them in their time of mourning and include them in your prayers.

Sorry to hear this Matt. Dennis was a origenator for sure and built a great company up. Sad to be missing someone like that in the fishing world. The Phelps are in our prayers.

I bar-tended my way though college at Bemidji State. I worked at a little bar in Turtle River MN. Dennis used to come in often and I poured him many a drink and talked fishing. I will offer up a prayer and a toast to a great fisherman.

Matt, Mike, and the whole Phelps family I am sorry to hear of your fathers passing, my most heartfelt condolences to you all.

Your father was a man of innovation in the industry and will be long and fondly remembered. I have great respect for such men of innovation, such as your father, who make a difference.

I lost my mother to cancer not too long back, it is difficult and often a mixed blessing when the end comes. My prayers are with you all.
