Down to Earth
Should be fun next weekend. Seriously I don't think either side would really want it any other way, well maybe in the NFC Championship Game. I predicted a Vikings win in the Dome, but came up wrong on that one. Since history seemed to repeat itself once I'll try it again, so this time I'm going to go with...Packers 34Vikings 31watch this time since I picked the Pack they will probably lose. Should be a great game either way.
Chad711
The Vikings have nothing left it the tank. It was obvious today. They have no leader, no heart, and no real coach.
JIvers
I'll be wearing Purple and cheering for the Vikings next Sunday...but if they stay anywhere close to the Packers I will be very surprised. Today, they obviously didn't believe they could win on the road and outdoors against a mediocre-at-best 'skins team in a game that counted--I think next week's game is already over, except for the final score. The defense lacks confidence in their ability to stop anyone (with good reason), Favre has already burned them twice this year, the offense has stalled, the coach is a bone-head, and as much as I hate to say it, the Packers are rolling--it could get ugly at Lambeau. Then, another year of Coach Meat-head and his boss C. Montgomery Burns Pohlad McCombs.
fishyguy
I will be wearing Purple and rooting them on but it is time to admit they are not very good and need a great offseason to avoid more mediocrity next year.My heart says Vikes 31Pack 27My head saysPack 31Vikes
Kingfisher
I have been a Viking fan since the Dutchman was their coach.I don't think there is a team in the NFL that deserves the privilege of going to Green Bay next Sunday and getting their clocks thoroughly cleaned more than the Vikes. JHansel7
the vikes always play the pack tough, come on guys, sure its a disapointment, but i would like nothing better to beat the pack and send them home, the packers cant stop the pass, we showed that 2 weeks ago, we'll be fine, and look at it on the bright side, IF the vikings get hot, they could be in the super bowl, the nfc has nobody! Biggestfish
I would agree that it is possible that the Vikings could get hot and make it to the Super Bowl in the weak NFC this year, but I really don't think that is going to happen. Also if by the slim chance that the Vikings did make the Super Bowl, I am not sure I am ready for the Vikings to be the 1st team to lose 5 Super Bowls!! I also know that who ever was going to play the Packers this coming weekend in the playoffs, I would be rooting for them to beat the Packers... So I guess it is a plus that I will be able to root for the Vikings. With that being said, I do think in the weak NFC this year the Packers have the best chance of upseting the Eagles and Falcons and making it to the Super Bowl... Never count out the Packers with Brett Farve at QB.
Ely Lake Expert
I think the vikes have a legitamate chance of winning this game. They always play the pack hard.
buzbunni
No chance.
Predator
As much as I would love to see the Purple take down the Pack, I am having a really hard time believing they will do it. This team has proved that, despite a lot of talent on offense, they are a poorly coached "dumb" football team that does not seem to have any stones when the going gets tough. If they couldn't get it done Xmas Eve @ home for the Division, I give them only slightly better odds than buzzbunni this week in the cold.
buzzsaw
I'm a huge viking fan but I don't want to post the negativity of what has been happening. If only the purple clad warriors would have shown up at all!!! NO HEART (except Duante and Kevin Williams) I just didn't see a team that was preparred to handle the pressure against Washington but I see them moving on the Packers horrible defense! P.S. 2-20 in their last 22 outdoor games.... NOT GOOD! But we will surprise the experts 31-17 purple!!!
MNice
I think it will be a pack blowout, by at least 14. Vikes seem to have NO desire to perform to their capabilities.
Down to Earth
If the Pack D can somewhat hold the Vikes on offense it could get ugly. I heard that Chavous fractured his elbow. Not good news for a secondary that was already pretty bad. I agree with you Viking fans that this should a solid Packers victory, but as someone mentioned it is Vikings/Packers and with that anything can happen. Though I'm probably a bit different than most fans in here. If the Vikings do upset the Pack, I will be rooting for them the rest of the way. JHansel7
I dont see what you all are talking about, 2 weeks ago, i personally think we outplayed the packers, big time, they got pretty lucky. Al Harris surely cant cover moss, and we've always known that, he is pretty touchy and will get called in a playoff game, he hangs all over people. The other scrub, Ahmad Carroll, he cant hang with Burleson (if Burleson can catch ha) and Mike Bennett and Ontario will get a few yards on the ground as well as Daunte, we will win this game. 24-17. otto_man
hansel outplayed the packers 2 weeks ago? were you watching the same game everyone else was? you had a couple big plays and that was about it. us packer fans got ripped all year about how we backed into the playoffs last year so i guess it's time for payback back it in queens, back it in........ hey moss where are you going? aren't you supposed to be on the hands "team" and try and recover the on-side kick? yep he's the best in the league, by far!! Willy
Hey otto,I wouldn't get too excited about the packers either. They are just a slightly better team than the happless vikings. However, they do seem to at least have something that resembles heart, whereas the vikings play like scared little children.
MJR
I say this is the only chance either team had of winning a playoff game.Packers and thier fans are the best!Boo on!Weren't the Packers behind almost the whole game a couple of weeks ago against the vikes? Is it points or how much of a role model your players are that win games?I would say that we did not even back in, I would say the vikes got ran over by a truck and some guy doing community service picking up roadkill on the highway threw us in the truck and brought us to the playoffs. But boy I sure hope we knock the pack out of their run for their 47th super bowl victory in a row. Down to Earth
Anyone listening to PA/Dubay this morning? They are practically giving GB the win. I wish I could only share their optimism
M.T. Bucket
The Vikes will win. But only because in a strictly numerical sense the odds are against the Pack taking them out 3 times in one season.
JIvers
The Packers' season will end one week after the Vikings' ends, when Michael Vick and his back-up group the Falcons dismantle the Packers in Atlanta. Vick came in to Lambeau a couple years ago and humiliated the Pack, and he will do it again in two weeks. The Packers barely have enough defense to contain a bunch of gutless wonders like the Vikings--Vick's speed will toast the Packer defense. That game will be played in-doors, and we all know how Brett Favre loves playing in domes...except when Mike "Duh" Tice is coaching the other team. myzee13
The Vikes are rough! Packer blowout. Enough said!
muskybuck
The Pack and Vikes are both good offense teams and are absolutely terrible at defense. I would say whoever has the ball last will probably win. I know the Pack would rather play anybody other than the Vikes. Philly even, the Vikes scare the he== out of the Pack in my opinion. Ottoman,Yes, Moss is a attitude problem, agreed. But the "hands" team is when you are recieving a kick, not when you are kicking off. I don't think you send in your best player into a wall busting pile of players that are scratching a clawing for the ball. Just making sure you actually have a clue. He left the field before the game was over according to the time clock but not before his plays were done.
muskybuck
If an on side kick isn't when you need a hands team then you never do. I would say Ottoman is the man with a clue. I can remember the Vikes winning a game on an onside kick with no time left on the clock. A Vike grabbed it on the bounce and never stopped until he was in the end zone. They came from three touch downs behind with 2 minutes to go to win that game. The Purple People Eaters had Heart and would never give up.
Kingfisher
Moss has done a few things in the past that he should not have done, but walking off the field with 2 seconds left on the clock, with a hurting back and hamstring, and hardly seeing the ball the entire game, I would have done the same as he. He is too good a receiver to be a decoy and blocker most of the time. Its all about coaching, coaching and coaching, IMO.
